Author's Note: So, these "0.5" chapters take place before chapter 1, aka the previous chapter. It's basically the main gang minus Travis and Aphmau settling into Lover's Lane again, and I plan on putting in some pretty important plot points. You don't need to read it if you don't want to, but I highly recommend. Anyways, enjoy.

Garroth's POV

I breathe in deeply, inserting the key into the handle. I have yet to unload the car of mine and Zane's suitcases - I'm waiting to go in first, and Zane's helping Kawaii-Chan move in.

I grip the door knob, my hand drenched in sweat, and turn it slowly.

Nervous thoughts swim in my head.

What do I do?

I haven't been here in a while.

How is Laurance?

Wait, are my ears and tail in?

The front entryway creaks open as I walk inside.

Suddenly, cream gets slapped in my face.

"Haha, gotcha!" Laurance laughs.

I wipe the whipped cream off my face before pulling my best friend into a hug.

"Garroth," Laurance starts, "Garroth, where were you and Zane and literally everyone else? Dante went insane and pretended pillows were people."

"Laurance... I can't answer that... It hurts thinking about it..."

"Ok, if you two lovebirds are done, Garroth, we have a car to unpack,"

I yelp in surprise, "Zane, when'd you get here?"

"Huh, so you didn't hear me..." My baby brother narrows his eyes at me.

Laurance, oblivious to the truth, defends me, "How's he supposed to? You're a sneaky little snake."

That statement gets an eye roll from both brothers.

I have no plans on telling Laurance what happened. He doesn't need to be dragged into this sh***y mess...
