43: An apology is all it takes.. and a happy ending is what it gives

The wedding venue

Well, it's time. Time for the couple to finally tie the knot. Xiao Zhan was always afraid of getting married. That fear he got seeing his parents relationship.

But the time with his soon to be husband has though him that when the love is real the outcome will only be joy. Yes in their relationship to here they had fights and many problems, but they learned a very important lesson, compromise.

Together, side by side the couple stood ready to read their vows.

Wang Yibo began first, "Imma start with, I am not good when it comes to these sweet words. So sometimes I always try my best to show it to you. Hopefully you felt it. Shit, I am gonna end off with, Sean Xiao Zhan, in my whole life I have never met someone as special as you. And I guess it's my luck that I get to stand with you today. I love you, my star."

Wang Yibo tried to lean in for a kiss, but the priest quickly cleared his throat and the crowd laughed it off.

Yang Mi stood in the doorway making sure no one saw her. She herself wasn't sure whether to feel angry or happy. I would guess the first option, cause she turned her heels around and with a face of disgust left.

As she was already gone another figure came along. Wang Haikuan.

His tears rolled onto the floor as the guilt washed over him. How he wish he could be a part of their happy. Zhou Cheng spotted him, despite being so far.

Zhou Cheng walked up to him. "I know you regret the decisions you made in the past." Wang Haikuan flinch. And turned to see his one night stand next to him. The older already figured out his relation with Xiao Zhan, so he was not surprised to see him here.

Bitting down more tears, Wang Haoxuan said, "All these years I hated him. Hated him for the death of our mother. A 7 year old, who didn't understand the meaning of what he lost. I bullied him, for years. The house he had to call home was like a hell to him, because.. we'll only because of me and Carman Lee. So yes, I regret everything."

He was about to turn and leave, but Zhou Cheng stopped him, "An apology can fix that.."

Wang Haikuan gulped down the lump that was forming in his throat. He didn't want to cry. He shouldn't cry, he after make the bed, now he should lay in it.

"A apology from the heart.." Zhou Cheng's words rushed straight to his heart.

Wang Haikuan didn't know what made him do this, but his arms wrapped around Zhou Cheng's waist. Oh god, he remembers that night.

Pulling away, both men made their way to the chairs. Xiao Zhan had just finished his vows, as the two newlyweds indulged in a passionate kiss. Making people around worried they might strip their clothes off and do the deed.

But the crowd soon giggled. Xuan Lu had a smile on her face widening. She was happy to her brother happy. She was happy to be part of his life.

Wang Haikuan sat in his place quickly. He didn't know how to react. The pressure, the guilty was eating him. Fortunately he had Zhou Cheng next to him to calm him down.

Wang Yibo looked at the crowd, proud for being able to stand with the person next to him. But his eyes froze on a person, Wang Haikuan. He was keeping himself from crying. Surprisingly he was happy to see his elder brother here.

Xiao Zhan noticed Wang Yibo expression. And also saw Wang Haikuan.

As soon as everything was over and the couple greeted the guest. Wang Yibo ran to Wang Haikuan first. The younger brother couldn't figure out how to start the conversation.

"Kuan-gege.." was the only words he pull out of his mouth. But the older brother seemed happy that Wang Yibo acknowledge him as a brother.

Tears threatened to fall. "Y-yibo." Wang Haikuan could barely speak as the guilt had him in a chock hold.

Wang Yibo understood the look of guilt. With all the love he had, Wang Yibo ran into Wang Haikuan's arms.

Wang Haikuan understood this meant he was forgiven. He couldn't help but feel he was undeserving of Wang Yibo's forgiveness. And love...

Zhou Cheng, Song Ji Yang and Xiao Zhan watched the events unfold with a smile. While Wang Haoxuan looked confused and a bit angry.

Wang Haoxuan immediately rush over to the two brothers, "Why would you forgive him so easily, after everything he has done to you? Huh?"

Wang Yibo seemed to tired for drama and after all it was his wedding day. "C-can we talk about this on another day?" He asked, feeling a rush of some unpleasant emotions.

Wang Haoxuan, who has been with him all this time, understood his feeling. "Yibo, for you I am willing to forgive him." Said Wang Haoxuan. He didn't want the man he called an older brother, to feel overwhelmed. And with a smile he was willing to accept his decision. Deep down, yes he was angry at the decision made.

Wang Haikuan was the one who bullied him in school. Making sure when Wang Yibo came home his presence was not acknowledged. He was the one who made Wang Yibo feel like he was the reason for the death of his own mother. And he was the one, or part of the reason why Wang Yibo took long to trust people.

But Wang Haoxuan could also understand Wang Haikuan was being manipulated.

Wang Haoxuan smiled at Wang Yibo, proud he moved on from his dark past. "Go on, enjoy the night with your love."

Those were the exact words Wang Yibo told him when he got married to Song Ji Yang. That day when there was only Wang Yibo at his wedding. Wang Haikuan couldn't understand their interaction, but he was only happy for Wang Yibo.

Today, this place was filled with people who loved each other, with family.

And everyone smiled when Wang Yibo jumped in the embrace of his life line. Who is carry a symbol of their love.

—"Loving you made me a cheater. The only problem is I don't regret it." Xiao Zhan's words caressed his eyes.

—"There are a million stars in the sky. But you were the one made for me, my star." Wang Yibo said as they danced in the moonlight under the stars. And in the eyes of the people who loved them.
