21: Crystal Zhang's story..

Lu Jian Min's Mansion

Crystal Zhang sat deep in the pool of her own thoughts. Painfully she asked herself what she saw in Lu Jian Min to fall for him.

Why? Just why did she, a beautiful independent women fall for a monster like him? Why back then did she not save herself? Was it her fault for being naïve?

Sadly she thought about Zhou Cheng and Xuan Lu. She wondered if they are happy and safe. But as a mother she failed her children. How dare she mess in their lives.

[Flashback

This was the time Crystal Zhang and Lu Jian Min first met. A royal and elegant party held for the coming of their families partnership in business.  Such a big event, and Crystal Zhang could not help but feel out of place.

As a person she opted for the simplest things in life. The extravagant layers and designs didn't help. She hid herself in the corner, sipping on a very disappointing tasting champagne. A man — young and handsome made his way to her. He, too seemed not interested in the event.

"Umm.. hi." He gave a plain greeting. Crystal Zhang immediately knew he was Lu Jian Min — the son of their business partner. Crystal Zhang bowed her head to show respect and gave him the same plain greeting.

As the event went on the two — Crystal Zhang and Lu Jian Min opted to stay together and talk about random topics. Leading to Crystal Zhang enjoying his company. Unbeknownst to her, Lu Jian Min was on a mission and had studied her closely. And also put on a façade.

The Lu Jian Min Infront of her was only someone wearing a mask. And she played into it like a innocent fool.

Crystal Zhang trusted Lu Jian Min and also had a crush on him. And the same way Lu Jian Min broke Song Ji Yang's trust he broke hers. But like the saying love is blind she was blindly in love. Due to this Crystal Zhang got pregnant with her first child, Xuan Lu. She chose to give him a second chance.

Their parents found out of Crystal Zhang pregnancy and was happy. She would have a great husband, they thought and immediately arranged a marriage between the two.

After their first child was born, Crystal Zhang willingly gave it to him again, this time got pregnant with her second child, a boy Zhou Cheng.

During this time Lu Jian Min was not a faithful husband, he came late, reeking of alcohol and female perfume.

Crystal Zhang was broken. She strong able women she was back then, was now a stranger to her.

What pained her was she was raped again, this was her third child, Xiao Zhan. An innocent and kind boy. He would always tells his mother that she shouldn't cry as she was to beautiful. It made no sense but his word were comforting. He made her feel better.

His older siblings were both quite and kept to themselves. This made Crystal Zhang sad, but they had a good reason.

Zhou Cheng and Xuan Lu were tested like shit by Lu Jian Min, so was Xiao Zhan. He just chose to not be so quite and he saw what his oldest didn't. He saw the pain his mother was going through.

The story of their lives was sad. One saw everyone's pain and chose to ignore his own, one went through all the pain and the other two were kept in the darkness. But the real question is who is hurting more?
