After my call with Lando, I quickly made my way home so I could start getting ready. His call had only made me more nervous to finally meet him, so I knew I had to look perfect.
My hair was already halfway dry so I put in some curlers so it would look nice and wavy later. Then I started to do some skincare to make sure my face looked nice and glossy tonight.
When that was all done, I made myself some tea so I could stay calm and not stress out about nothing. When it finally hit five, I started to take out the curlers and fix whatever pieces didn't end up how I liked.
Then I started working on my makeup, deciding not to do too much base but more eye makeup since I knew no matter what prep or setting spray, after being in a club, it was not going to last.
When I finally perfected it, it was already seven which meant Lina was about to arrive, so I put on my outfit to finish up and made my way to the living room to wait for her.
When she finally arrived, we messed around for a bit until I got a message from Lando that he was downstairs.
"Okay Lina, both of them are downstairs waiting for us. I need you to promise me you'll be normal no matter how weird you get when you're nervous." I begged her.
"I promise I'll try." she answers, taking a deep breath.
"Okay, let's go." I say, grabbing my bag and leading her out of my apartment. We make out way out, both of us slightly shaking with nerves, however all of mine left the second I met eyes with him.
I subtly sped up my speed, trying to make my way over to him as fast as possible without seeming desperate.
"Hi." I say lowly to him, hugging him tightly.
"Hi Belle." he replies, holding me even tighter. "You're shorter than I thought."
I quickly pull away giving him an annoyed look. "Is that really the first thing you're gonna say to me?" I ask.
"Yes?" he replies uncertainly, knowing he was wrong when the look on my face worsened. "No, what I meant to say is that you look beautiful."
I smile at him, "Try hard." I say, moving on to give Max a short greeting.
"Well guys, Lando, Max, this is Lina, Lina this is Lando and Max." I introduce them, trying to extinguish the awkward air that surrounded us.
Thankfully before we left, I made Lina take two shots so she wouldn't be a nervous wreck all night, and I took one for good measures.
"Alright well, let's go." I say, realizing no one had said anything.
We all shuffled into the car, trying to get out of this situation as soon as possible.
