Being Tom's girlfriend was almost like a distant fantasy.

He had made it more than clear that he wasn't ready for a real relationship...

Which was why I've found it weird when he randomly bought me a new dress and reserved the most famous restaurant nearby.

The gifts weren't unusual but the qay he gave them to me - nervously and almost as if building up to something.

"We can save that for later." He winks as he pulls away and I blush as he takes my hand in his.

The wall to the restaurant is romantic and we recall some of our first hangouts and... it's romantic.

"I wanted to ask you something." The chips I've just ate almost come out of my mouth again at his serious tone.

I gulp. "Hm?"

He reaches in his pocket and I feel a swarm of butterflies in ny stomach as I feel what's coming.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" A huge smile breaks out on my face and I don't even question anything; the commitment and any problem before I answer.

"Yes! No doubts." He opens the box and I gasp when I see the promise ring.

"Tom... it's beautiful." I whisper, my heart full of emotion.

I've known Tom for ages, and I was willing to wait for him to be ready for a relationship.

But now, I trust that he is. And I love him.
