Josh stared into the book that he was reading, his eyes fixated on the words.
For as long as he could remember he always loved reading.
For him....reading a book wasn't about the words on the page. It was an adventure he can go on through those words on the page.
"He winced in pain, lifting his body from the cold icy floor," Josh whispered underneath his breath, his fingers sliding across the page.
Josh had such a wild imagination. When he read, he would imagine the scenes playing out in his head.
It made it much more easier and fun for him.
He was so engrossed in the story that he didn't hear approaching footsteps.
The person sat across from him.
"Took you long enough,"Josh said in an annoyed tone.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm sorry," ash apologized, chuckling slightly.
Josh lifted his head up from the book. He eyes ash closely.
"Ugh....what do you want?" He asks, rolling his eyes in annoyance.
"Whatever do you mean my best bro?" Ash scratches the back of his neck while laughing nervously.
Josh and Ash practically grew up together, so when ash wants something Josh always knows.
Josh sighs.
"It's about that girl isn't it?" Josh asks, he closes the book, placing it to the side.
"Ummm," ash fiddles with his fingers nervously.
"Ummm what? I know it's about krysie so you don't have to say anything"
"How do you know it's not because I'm hungry and want you to buy me food?!" Ash yells, gaining a few irritated looks.
"Sorry" he whispers in an apologetic tone.
"Nooooo it's about krysie and you know it,"Josh pushes his glasses up his nose bridge.
Getting up from his seat abruptly, he puts the notebook he was reading into his back pack. Zipping the bag close, he starts to walk away.
Ash gets up, stumbling behind him.
"Hey!! Wait up!!" He shouts while running after him.
