Ash's POV
"Okay, I'll see you later luv. Good night" I said, as I ended the call. I span around in the chair, and pushed myself toward Josh.
"Hey" I whispered in his ear.
He jumped back with a yelp, making me chuckle.
"What the hell's wrong with you man???" He asked, looking quite agitated.
He stood up from the bed, grabbed his book and pen, and made his way toward his desk.
"Wait......are you finished already?" I asked, dumbfounded.
"Yes" he replied, in a 'duh' manner.
"Oh man I am so sorry," I stood up and walked up behind him.
Placing my chin on his shoulder, I wrapped my arms around his waist, pulling his body closer to mine.
"I'm so sorry," I whispered in his ear.
"Forgive me?"
I felt his body stiffen at my touch. I loosen my grip on his waist and placed my hands on his shoulder.
Pulling his back to my chest, I looked at him.
His facial expression.......was really hard to read.
Was he feeling okay?
"Hey man......you okay? Are you still mad at me?" I inquired, breaking the awkward silence.
"Uh yeah......" He replied softly.
"Just tired," he added.
And with that, he left my grip. He grabbed his book and pen, placed them in his back pack and flung himself onto the bed.
He heaved a long sigh.
I say next to him.
"I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you....I promise," I say with a small smile.
"It's whatever," he turned over onto his side, his back facing me.
I frowned.
Before he turned over, I could swear that I saw him blushing a bit. Or....was it just in my head?
Whatever.......
I got up and walk to the other side of the bed, and lay down beside Josh.
"Good night Josh," I turned my head to look at him but realized he already had fallen asleep.
With a smile, I shut my eyes and drift off to sleep.
