Josh's POV
I sat at the dinner table, grabbing my fork next to my plate I began to eat my breakfast.
My phone dinged with a notification, making me stop abruptly.
I adjusted my glasses, squinting my eyes I stared down at the phone on the table.
It was ash........
"Are you coming to school?" The message read.
I picked up the phone, and texted him back.
"Yeah" I replied.
The message read "seen" and soon he began typing again.
"Okay but you have to hurry up, you're gonna be late ya know"
I texted back.
"I know"
Turning off my phone, I placed it in my back pocket. I stood up and grabbed my orange juice from the table.
Grabbing my backpack from the couch, I was about to walk out the front door but stopped upon looking at the little piece of paper hanging from the fridge door.
I slowly made my way towards the fridge.
Squinting my eyes, I scanned the little piece of paper, focusing my eyes on each word.
It was a note.......
"We left for another business trip in Europe, we'll be back next week Thursday. We love you.....kisses! Muah!" The note read, my mom's voice echoing in my thoughts.
My parents are those types of people that literally don't know how to stay one place..... they're always moving about when it comes to their businesses.
My mom and dad work at the same company. My dad's in a higher profession than my mom tho.
But usually they would both get the same responsibilities to take care of at work and they both meet the requirements so why not?
But.....they never have any time to spend time with me.....because they're always too "busy" and never have time to even look at my report card from school.
I sighed deeply. My heart sank. My birthday's on Wednesday. And I bet they probably forgot.
I will not be celebrating my birthday then......as always. Since they are literally never here for it....who am I gonna spend it with anyway???
I leave my house and headed for that hell hole.
