RULE ONE: Anyone can play, but there's only one winner.

"Jacky Bennet." The PA called out loud and I felt my cheeks light up as my classmates looked at me. I couldn't have done anything to get into trouble..."Jacky." My teacher brought me back to reality, "Can you grab your bag and go to the office?" I slowly nodded and my confusion lingered on the walk there.

The tears came next. My mother's red eyes met mine as I stepped in and my heart dropped.

It was from there I was driven to the hospital to possibly say goodbye because we didn't know whether or not my brother was going to live.

I didn't know if my best friend was every going to drive me to school, drag me to some Indie concert, comfort me after a boy, or call my hair greasy every again. I couldn't lose Jer, I just couldn't.

It was later that night I found out the incident was caused from Jeremy's 'individual challenge.' The other kids playing tried to cover it up, but the whole situation was absolutely messed up.

My brother, Jeremy, is epileptic, but I don't think that many people know outside of our family and maybe some of his close friends. When I was 7 was the first time I saw him have a seizure, and I knew he had one before then and then another when I was 10. But they were never as severe as they were that day.

Luckily, Jeremy lived. The main reason he was in such a bad condition was because of how deterred his breathing became, and I guess that when he was rushed in, he wasn't breathing at all.

We almost watched him die, almost, and that day changed everything for my family and I. I never understood why Jeremy had chosen to play Panic, and I've asked him for years since. He told me I'd want to give in my senior year, and I've promised him hundreds of times that I would never even think about it. And I'm not lying. I want nothing to do with Panic.
