The wedding venue was buzzing with laughter. Everyone's eyes were on the bride and the groom.
"Are you sure you are forcing him into the marriage?" The groom's elder brother, Abhinav Ahuja, asked his father, he got sceptical seeing his younger brother's enthusiasm.
Looking at the groom's gleaming face no one would say he was being forced into this marriage in exchange for his freedom to choose his passion over family business.
"I was thinking the same," his father, Vijay Ahuja said narrowing his eyes at his younger son who was performing the wedding rituals with the bride.
"We definitely overlooked something." Abhinav was sure something was wrong.
His brother was never the one to comply obediently. He was surprised to see him getting married without causing trouble.
"I should have given birth to another son. If I had a choice, I would never marry her to that brat," Vijay said. He gave a tight lip smile to the bride's uncle, who was passing by.
"Are you men gossiping again? Would you both care to greet the guests?" Anika, Abhinav's wife, was fed up with their behaviour.
Everyone was running around due to the last-minute wedding, and these men were in their own world, having a nice peaceful talk.
The men stood up. "Take Rakshith with you," she added.
Vijay Ahuja, Abhinav, and six-year-old Rakshith moved around the venue, greeting guests.
The wedding was concluded, and the bride and the groom stood up to take everyone's blessings.
The bride's brother, Abhay Khurrana, came running to her at the end of the wedding. He was absent during the ceremony.
It was her brother and sister-in-law's turn. They touched their feet and stood back up.
Her brother hugged her tightly, but she didn't reciprocate.
"Please Samaira," he whispered to her. She hugged him back.
A few minutes passed by but he refused to break the hug.
"Now, let her go. Her husband is waiting for her," someone in the crowd said, and everyone burst out in laughter.
They finally broke the hug, and the bride and the groom left for their home.

I can't believe it. I am married to her. After years of patience, we finally, tied the knot.
We entered our room. She changed into her night suit, and I changed into my casual clothes.
I lay on the bed and stared at the ceiling thinking of what to say to her. Should I talk to her about my company or my hobbies?
Maybe I should tell her about my new game, she will love it.
"We need to talk," I heard my wife calling for me. My wife, it sounds so good.
"Sure," I said, walking towards her.
She sat on the couch and put a paper on the glass table.
"Sign it," she said.
I took the paper and guess what, it was a marriage contract.
I let out a deep sigh. I signed it, having no choice.
So, I have a year to make her fall in love with me.
I was planning on pretending that no such verbal agreement occurred between us, but now I can't do that.
