It was a crispy winter morning and the early morning light shined through the window, making the frost outside glisten.

Sirius and Remus had been called to a meeting at the ministry this morning. They were going to leave you at aunt Andromeda's house during the day along with Harry, since both James and Lily had been called too. Unfortunately they had woken up a bit later than planned.

Cupboards were slamming in the kitchen as someone made breakfast. Irritated voices and footsteps hurrying through the hallway, were heard from downstairs. Though the noise was nothing that would or even could wake you from your beauty sleep.

R: Padfoot can you go and get Julie? Remus called from the kitchen. Sirius walked up the creaking wooden staircase. The house was quite old but in a good way, it was cosy and charming.

He entered your bedroom but stopped in the doorway, just watching his little girl being fast asleep, looking so peaceful.
Young and innocent, he thought to himself.

S: Good morning pup! Sirius called and pulled the curtains aside, letting the early morning light in. You gave no sign to have heard him.

S: It's time to wake up Julie. Still no response.

S: Julie!

*silence*

S: Juliet Marlene wake up!

Sirius groaned inwardly as he realised what an impossible mission this was and exactly why Remus hadn't done it himself. At last he gave up. Well the assignment was to get her, not necessarily to wake her, Sirius thought and picked you up, carrying you back downstairs.

Still asleep you readjusted in his arms, making yourself comfortable against his chest. Sirius heart softened when feeling your hair tickling his neck.

R: She's still asleep isn't she? Remus laughed as Sirius put you down in a chair at the table, watching your head fall down against the tabletop.

S: Yup! Sirius answered with that Black grin on his face, popping the 'P'.

                                                                         * * *
After waking up you were a bit grumpy. Which princess appreciates her beauty sleep being interrupted?

S: Please Julie can't you just eat your porridge? Sirius pleaded as he held the spoon in front of his daughter's mouth. He had actually already given up on you eating anything but hoped it might happen if the spoon was close enough to your mouth.

J: I don't want porridge, it's slimy! You answered and crossed your arms.

R: Yesterday you liked porridge, Remus spoke, trying to keep his voice calm. The ticking sound from the clock on the wall made him more stressed my the minute.

J: Today I don't! You turned your head away. Remus realised that an argument with a toddler, particularly one with Sirius genes, couldn't be won.

He stood up from his chair, a little too violently and accidentally knocked over a goblet. Orange pumpkin juice sipped out on the tabletop like a small river.

R: Damn it! Remus muttered.

S: Tergeo, Sirius said and pointed his wand at the mess. Remus had never been any good at cleaning spells, better to let Sirius handle it.

Sirius levitated the goblet to land in the sink. You had seen magic all your life and it was totally normal but lately you had got this feeling, bubble up inside of you, wanting to reach out of your fingertips. This was one of those moments.

It was fun watching your dad levitate goblets, so you wanted to try yourself. A moment later and your own goblet was in the air. It had happened with only mind's power. Fascinating!

S: Moony! Look! Sirius shouted with eyes full of surprise.

R: Merlins beard! Remus exclaimed.

S: OUR DAUGHTER CAN DO MAGIC! Wait till James here's about this! Sirius yelled excitedly.

R: It's not a competition my love, Remus answered. Sirius looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

R: Okay it's a competition and we definitely won!

S: Our daughter will be the best witch the world has ever seen! Sirius said and looked at you with big eyes.

R: Of course she will, she's our daughter after all! Remus answered proudly.

J: Of course I will, you mimicked.

The three of you danced around in the kitchen together and you giggled uncontrollably, until Remus remembered that you were in a hurry.
