**In a Room with Veldora and Guy**

In a room, Veldora and Guy were sitting across from each other, separated only by a table. Veldora's golden irises glared at Guy disapprovingly, while Guy rolled his eyes, clearly disinterested in the kid in front of him.

It was unclear what Veldora had against Guy that made him feel such hatred from Veldora's gaze.

"So, why do you keep staring at me like that, Veldora?" Guy asked with a flat expression, sipping his drink.

Veldora snorted in annoyance, clearly uninterested in answering Guy's question.

"Tch, I've disliked you for a long time." He crossed his arms over his chest and turned his face away from Guy, disdain clear in his posture.

Guy, on the other hand, was truly fed up with dealing with someone like Veldora. It was a hassle. That was Guy's thought.

"This is definitely about Veldanava, right?"

Guy gave a slight smirk and spun his glass 360 degrees.

Hearing the name 'Veldanava,' Veldora furrowed his brows, his golden irises glowing as he stared sharply at Guy.

"Why do you think that?!"

Guy merely shrugged, uninterested.

"I don't know, it just came out."

Veldora snorted again in frustration at his words.

"Yes, you're right, this is about Veldanava. My eldest brother, I don't like you because my older brother and sister recognize your strength. But I wondered, what's so special about you that they both acknowledge you?"

Guy rolled his eyes again, bored by Veldora's ranting.

'You don't know what 'he' gave you.'

"So, you hate me just for that reason?"

"Not only that, but also because of the previous Walpurgis issue. And the second meeting with Rimuru in Tempest. You threatened him, didn't you?" His golden irises glared at Guy with displeasure.

'Oh, the conversation is heading back to that girl.' Guy thought.

"Hooh, why do you think that?"

"I don't know why he wants to take over the Western Council. Isn't he not even part of that organization yet? And also, it's quite troublesome to manage the western territories all at once, especially with the empire ready to attack. There are many issues to deal with simultaneously. Rimuru isn't someone who would do something troublesome. If he wants to get out of this mess, he must fully control the Western Council to strengthen his side in the war with the empire. Although I'm not sure 'they' can help in the war."

"But isn't that not the only goal Rimuru wants to achieve? He gains two advantages on his side. He aims to coexist with humans, so he benefits greatly from that agreement. And second, he gains manpower, supplies, and additional forces. That adds advantages to his side."

That's true, but still. Veldora disliked it when someone exploited Rimuru's goodwill.

Veldora realized that Rimuru's current position was to be a pawn for Guy, which made him despise him even more. He forced Rimuru into his fight against Rudra, making him one of the pawns to defeat the others.

Well, but we don't know... Who is the actual pawn, and who is the real king.

The atmosphere was very tense as they stared at each other.

A smile curled on Veldora's lips as he took a sip of his drink.

"Foolish yet clever." Guy muttered as he saw Veldora's faint smile, taking another sip of his drink.
