CH~1 || The Mysterious Date

Author's POV

Kim Taehyung the formidable CEO entered his office building "The Kim Techs" walking like he owned the company and actually he did. He had just taken over his fathers company after fighting for it for years. He had to go through rigorous practice and test his father placed upon him. And finally he had acquired it 3 months ago. The receptionist greeted him and Mr.Lee his secretary walked beside him telling the schedule for today. he nodded and gestured him to go as he quickly left his side.

He entered the elevator and pressed 11th floor and reached his office.

He sat in his office  desk of rich oak working on his documents reviewing the quarterly reports. It has been a hectic few weeks since he need to sign a deal with a top tier company. The only sound was the rustling of the paper and the air blowing from the air conditioner.

He reached for the intercom.

"Mr.Lee. Bring me the contract papers for the Park acquisition "

Mr.Lee's promt response was heard through the speaker. "Yes sir"

Within a few minutes Mr.Lee came inside his cabin and handed him the files and stood silently for a few minutes before he spoke.

"Umm..Mr.Kim..Mrs.Kim had called and asked me to inform you that she has set up a date with someone" The secretary answered

He sighed and nodded waving his hand asking him to leave. He ran his hand over his face in frustration. This is the nth time his mother had set up a blind date

 He stood up walking out of his office to a nearby cafe and ordered his regular coffee and sat at a corner table with his phone. He definitely hated coffee but to work late at night, he made sure he got used to the taste. 

He lifted his head as he heard the door bell jingle and saw a girl. A familiar face. His face darkened with hatred at the sight of her as he shook his head focusing back on his phone and mails.

The Barista called his name as he stood and that's when the girl he noticed earlier noticed him and her face went from her usual cheerfulness to a more somber one. She ordered her usual Cold coffee and sat way far from him.

Later that day

Taehyung was back in his office signing documents when his mother called

"Hello Mom?"

"Hello Taehyung? Did Mr.lee tell you about the date I set up" His mom chirped.

"And why did you thought I'd be interested in a blind date?" He said. His tone bored which his mom caught on.

"She is a pretty young lady. and you are not getting any younger and it's time you start thinking about your future"  She said with a hint of exasperation.

"Yes mom. I'll see if i like her Don't expect much." And he hung up the call

Taehyung went home early and with a sigh got ready for the so called date he wasn't ready for. He wore a fresh pair of black suit, slicking his hair back neatly. He wore his polished shoes and walked out of the house sitting in the car. He took out his phone to see the location of the date before he began driving. He placed soft jazz music to his liking and drove to the restaurant. Just as he stopped in front of the restaurant he noticed the same familiar figure from the cafe earlier. His eyebrows furrowed as he got down and walked in. The staff led him to the seat and went . He the women standing there his breath caught in his throat. His eyes darkening. His fist clenching. 

She was elegant, dressed in a white dress, her hair falling in soft waves.

Her expression was calm and composed her gaze outside the window. It was her beauty that gave him pause but her face, the familiar face, a face that belonged to a family he was taught to loathe. Her families name was something whispered whenever the topic of his grandfather's death came up.

"I wasn't expecting you" He muttered taking a seat across her. Her gaze shifted to him.

"Life has a funny way of making people meet doesn't it?"

It was a very spontaneous plot that had been going on in my mind after reading a few fan fictions based on the same setting but a very different plot and situation.
