Ch~15 || Break In

"You found out?" I asked as I fiddled with hem of my dress staring straight into his eyes. He stood leaning against the door, his arms folded against his chest.

He sighed "It was your uncle. Mr.Kang Jae Won." He said, his jaw clenched "He was the one who hired the Hit man to kill you"

It was like a punch to my gut. I knew my uncle wanted the company and that he would do anything to get what he wants But never in my dream did i think he'd go as far as to kill me. I couldn't believe it.

"There must be some mistake. He wouldn't go this far would he?" Even though I asked, I already knew the answer. It was undeniable.

"I had my men look into the account from where the money was transferred to the hitmen. It traced back to one of his shell companies. It's Him. He has been trying to get rid of you since you became a CEO." He said.

"But He's my uncle." I said as if saying it out loud would make it less real or terrifying.

" I know. But he is also someone who's shown that he will do anything for power. Even if it means hurting their own family. And Ill make sure he gets the punishment he deserves" He said.

Third Person's Pov

He knew it was time to involve the authorities and expose Mr.Kang. 

The next morning he gathered evidence that his men had collected. Bank statements, transactions, location and call history were all collected meticulously and complied into a file.
It was a solid proof linking her uncle to the hired men and the attempted murder.

He made a call to the police officer.

"Mr. Park, We have substantial evidence against Mr.Kang that he was the one who hired men to attack Yn on the CEO announcement event"

"We'll review the evidence right away Mr.kim. If everyone is perfect, We will issue an arrest warrant for Mr.Kang but I must warn you, going after someone as influential as him won't be easy" He spoke. His voice grave.

Taehyung's jaw clenched "I know that very well Mr.Park But Im not letting him get away with this. Make sure he never gets out of jail"

"Understood Mr.Kim. Ill update you on any progress and Please increase security measures for Mrs.Kim" The officer responded and hung the call.

After sending the documents to the police, he turned his attention back to YN. She was waiting in the bedroom quite tense after the revelation that her Uncle had planned to kill her.

Taehyung entered and sat beside her "I have informed the police. They are reviewing the evident and will arrest him soon"

Hours that followed were tense as they waited for an update from the police. Yn was in the kitchen cooking lunch while taehyung sat on the dining table scrolling through his mails and work documents.

Finally, his phone buzzed. He picked up the call and identified it was Mr.Park "We have verified the evidence Mr.Kim. An arrest warrant has been issued for Mr.Kang and we are moving to arrest him now. I advise you both to stay in your residence safely" 

"Ill take care of that" He said and hung the call. He turned to Yn.

"They are going after him now. They have issued the arrest warrant" He informed.

"I hope he gets arrested and doesn't do something stupid again" She said with a sigh.

"Yeah. We have to stay safe until he is in custody. We don't know when he might strike. And About the third party. My men are pretty close to finding him." He informed as Yn nodded.

They sat watching a movie on curled in a blanket. The evening had been quiet. Almost too quiet. The silence felt heavy and every creak made them flinch and look around just in case an attack occurred. Yn sighed unable to focus on the movie.

"Are you alright?" His voice broke her out of her thought.

"Yeah. Kinda anxious." I said. He took her hands in his as her hands stiffened. she tried to retract her hands from his.

"How long are you gonna pull away from me? You still believe me and my dad killed your father? Even after everything I'm doing for you? "He questioned holding her hand tightly.

"I...I look. Its not about you helping me at all or the fact that you may or may not have killed my father. It's the nature of the marriage alright? It isn't helping me at all" She said. Before he could reply a loud noise was heard. He sprang to his feet as he went towards the window and looked out through the small hole. He saw a bunch of SUV's standing outside. He quickly closed the Main doors and the windows and the backdoors and turned off the lights. He dragged her upstairs to their bedroom and saw from the window. He realised a car had crashed through their gate breaking the first layer of security.  He recognized they weren't random intruders but trained and armed professionals.

"YN" Taehyung shouted grabbing her hand "We need to move"

"What's happening?" She asked, her voice shaky.

"Someone's tryna break in. You are gonna stare here. And Do not open the door. No matter what" He said sternly looking into her eyes.

"Where are you going?" I asked going behind him as he pushed me back inside.

"To deal with them." He said "Lock the door from the inside"

Without waiting for a response Taehyung locked Yn inside the room and activated the security lock. He stationed two guard in front of the door. He could hear Yn banging the door and calling out to him. He turned on his heel and ran to the living room. He saw the intruders coming through windows by smashing them. His bodyguards were already fighting off the intruders when suddenly a bullet whizzed past his head which he narrowly missed. He took his gun hidden in a cabinet. There were at least a dozen men, heavily armed.

"Cover the exits" He shouted to his guards "Don't let them get past you"
