Taehyung sat in his office, a mountain of paperwork sprawled on his desk. He was deeply focused, reviewing contracts and signing off on a new project, his brows furrowed in concentration.

Even in his work mode, his mind kept drifting back to Yn.  After that night by the window, they glanced at each other bit longer. He'd catch himself wondering what she was going at home. If she was reading, or perhaps putting things in order around the mansion like she always did.  He brushed his thoughts aside, reaching for his phone to check a reminder about and upcoming meeting but somehow his fingers went into the contacts app, his finger lingering over her contact name.

Lost in his thoughts, he didn't hear the knock on his office door until it opened and his secretary walked in, bringing him back to reality. He quickly put his phone face down on the desk as his secretary came with a stack on folders.

"Sir, these are the monthly reports you requested." She said placing the thick file on his desk and left.

He started reviewing the reports and signed wherever necessary. His mind went back to her. He remembered the surprise in her eyes, the way she looked at him, frozen as his lips grazed the corner of her mouth.

He shook his head trying to focus on the numbers infront of him. Yn had crept past his defenses and he found himself attracted by her quiet strength. Her presence brought a sense of warmth and its been a long time since he felt that with anyone.

His phone buzzed on his desk, drawing his attention. It was a message from jungkook.

"Hey Taehyung. Just checking in. Hope Yn's doing okay."

Taehyung smiled slightly, his fingers typing outa quick reply

"Hey Jungkook. She's doing well actually..."

He paused, considering his words.

"She's been adjusted better than i thought."

The reply was short and simple but it was true. She had become comfortable and her presence in the house evolved from tentative to assured. She wasn't someone easily daunted by changes and he admired that about her.

A faint knock interrupted his thoughts once again.

"Sir your meeting with the construction team is set to begin" His secretary reminded him. Nodding he put his phone away and collected his thoughts.

For the next one hour, he went through presentations, blueprints, budget forecasts, immersing himself in work. It was well into the evening by the time he wrapped up the meeting. The sky was painted in orange, the sun setting, almost as if burying itself into the earth as the moon emerged from the other side.

Closing his laptop, Taehyung leaned back in his chair and decided he'd had enough for the day. He was ready to head home. Grabbing his coat and phone, he made his way out of the office and drove back to his house. As he drove the sky had turned dark, the starts twinkling. He saw a familiar place, Yn's favorite bakery. He halted his car and got out and without a second thought entered the bakery to get her favorite goods whose name he had seemed to have forgotten.

"Ugh what were they called" he rubbed his temple wrecking his brain trying to remember the name and he finally did. He stepped infront of the counter as the staff smiled and greeted him.

"I'd like chocolate tarts, vanilla croissant, And a full Tiramisu cake" He said as the staff nodded and asked him to wait. He sat on one of the tables waiting for his order to be given. Soon his name was called as he stood up walking to the counter and collected the bag and paid for it.

He soon headed back home passing through the buzzing city, the city lights blurred as he drove back home.

When he finally reached home. the house was quiet. He entered quietly assuming she might be asleep. But then he noticed the kitchen light was on. He peeked inside and saw her leaning on the kitchen island with a mug off coffee, a tired expression on her face.

"Hey" He called softly as he walking in taking off his coat and unbuttoning the top buttons.

She looked up, her eyes wide "You are early"

"Guess I couldn't stay away" He said with a chuckle.

Her cheeks turned a soft pink as she looked down at her mug with a shy smile playing on her lips. He noticed that and said "I meant home. Stay away from home"

Her cheeks burned in embarrassment as she realized she had misunderstood. He handed her the bag.

"I saw your favorite bakery and got a few things" He said. Her eyes widened in surprise as she peeked into the bag.

"Thank you" She muttered taking out the boxes and placing it on the table.

"Did You eat yet?" She asked.

And just then his stomach chose the moment to grumble in response making her laugh softly "I guess that answers my question"

"And I might have skipped lunch" He admitted sheepishly "And I was thinking Maybe we could go grab something together?"

"You want to go out?" She asked tilting her head in curiosity. "But I already made fried rice" She muttered.

"Oh! Ill eat that then. Don't worry." He said taking a seat as she served a plate of fried rice which he began eating.

"How is it?" She asked standing there, watching him savor the food she made.

He hummed nodding "Good." He said as he stood up placing the empty plate in the sink.

"Im going to bed. Im exhausted today" He informed as she nodded. He walked upstairs while she entered the kitchen washing the few dirty plates there were in the sink. She turned off the light and went to the bedroom and called it a day. The said a soft goodnight to each other before they let themselves drift to dreamland.
