Y/N leaned against her desk, staring at her phone. Jungkook's message from the night before still glowed in her notifications, his words replaying in her head: "I remembered you from Namsan Tower."

Her emotions were a whirlwind—part disbelief, part excitement, and part sheer anxiety. She never imagined he would remember her. And now, not only did he recall that brief moment, but they were working together on a professional project, where she had to stay focused and grounded.

She inhaled deeply, shaking off the thoughts. "Work first, feelings later," she muttered to herself, snapping open her laptop to dive back into her designs. BigHit was expecting the first draft soon, and she couldn't afford to mess this up.

The next few days passed in a blur of intense concentration. Y/N spent hours sketching, fine-tuning, and revising her ideas. She pulled inspiration from BTS's albums, their lyrics, and the concept of transformation that was central to the world tour's theme.

Her apartment had turned into a chaotic studio—sticky notes with ideas plastered everywhere, design software open on her computer, and printed drafts scattered across her floor. The deadline was approaching fast, and she could feel the pressure mounting.

One evening, while engrossed in adjusting the color palette of one of her designs, her phone buzzed. It was another message from Jungkook.

Jungkook: "How's everything going with the project? Need any feedback?"

Y/N's pulse quickened. He was offering feedback—something that could be valuable but also nerve-wracking. She hesitated for a moment, then decided it wouldn't hurt to get his input.

Y/N: "Hey! It's going well, but I'd love your thoughts on a few drafts. I'll send them over in a bit."

Within minutes, she gathered her sketches and sent a couple of designs to him. Her hands shook as she hit "send." Waiting for his feedback felt like an eternity, but soon enough, his reply came through.

Jungkook: "Wow, these are amazing! I really like how you've captured the theme. The second design is my favorite so far. It feels like it tells a story."

A warm glow of pride spread through her. Jungkook, someone she admired so deeply, was praising her work. It was surreal.

Y/N: "Thank you! That means a lot. I'll refine the second one and see how it comes together."

Their conversation drifted beyond the project, turning more casual. They talked about the creative process, their mutual love for art and music, and even random things like favorite snacks and how Jungkook dealt with stress during tours.

Y/N was surprised by how easy it was to talk to him, how grounded and approachable he seemed. The lines between their professional relationship and personal interactions were beginning to blur, and she wasn't sure how to feel about it.

The following week, she arrived at BigHit's headquarters for an in-person meeting. The designs were ready for review, and she had spent hours perfecting them, ensuring they were polished and cohesive.

As she entered the sleek, modern office building, her nerves kicked in. This was a big moment, and though she had received positive feedback from Jungkook, the final decision lay with the entire team.

In the conference room, she set up her presentation, her laptop connected to a large screen. The room slowly filled with members of the BigHit creative team, and finally, Jungkook entered alongside a few other BTS members. Taehyung flashed her a friendly smile, making her feel a little less nervous.

The presentation began, and Y/N went through each design, explaining the thought process behind the visuals and how they tied into the tour's overarching themes. As she spoke, she noticed Jungkook watching her intently, his gaze focused not just on the designs but on her.

When she finished, the room was silent for a moment. Then, one of the creative directors spoke up.

"These are impressive, Y/N. I can see the thought and creativity behind each concept. You've managed to capture the essence of what we're going for."

She exhaled in relief, feeling the weight of the project lift slightly from her shoulders. Then Taehyung chimed in with his own comment, grinning. "I like the first one. It's got that raw, emotional vibe that fits our music."

The rest of the team agreed, offering minor suggestions for tweaks and improvements, but overall, it was a success. Jungkook gave her a small nod, a silent acknowledgment of her hard work.

After the meeting, as the team dispersed, Jungkook lingered behind. Y/N packed up her things, still buzzing from the positive feedback.

"You really did an amazing job," Jungkook said, approaching her. "I wasn't just saying that before."

Y/N smiled, feeling her heart flutter at his sincerity. "Thank you, it means a lot coming from you."

There was a brief moment of silence between them, a comfortable pause, before Jungkook spoke again. "Are you free later? Maybe we could grab coffee and just... hang out. No work talk."

Y/N blinked, taken aback by his casual invitation. Her first instinct was to refuse—this was blurring the lines between professional and personal, and it could complicate things. But there was a part of her that wanted to say yes, a part that wanted to know him beyond the idol she admired from afar.

"Sure," she found herself saying. "Coffee sounds great."

They met at a small café in a quiet corner of Seoul, far from the usual bustling streets filled with fans and tourists. Jungkook had chosen the place intentionally, knowing it would give them privacy to just talk.

The atmosphere was relaxed, and for the first time, Y/N saw Jungkook not as the global superstar but as someone more human, more vulnerable. He opened up about the pressures of fame, how the world tour was exciting but also exhausting, and how he sometimes just craved normalcy.

Y/N listened, nodding, understanding the weight of expectations that came with success. In turn, she shared her own story—how she had moved from India, the challenges she faced in a new country, and her insecurities about fitting in, both personally and professionally.

Their conversation flowed naturally, and for a while, it felt like they were just two people trying to navigate their lives, not a fan and an idol. Jungkook's laugh was infectious, and soon, Y/N found herself relaxing, her initial nervousness fading away.

At one point, Jungkook looked at her, his expression softening. "You know, I've always admired people like you—people who take risks and follow their passion, even when it's scary."

Y/N blinked, caught off guard. "Me? But you're the one who's out there, living your dream every day."

He shook his head. "Yeah, but it's different. I was lucky to have a platform early on. But you... you're building something from the ground up. That takes real courage."

His words struck a chord in her. No one had ever put it that way before. She had always seen herself as someone who struggled, who was just trying to keep up, but Jungkook saw her differently.

As the evening wore on, they lingered at the café, their conversation drifting from serious topics to lighthearted banter. Y/N found herself laughing more than she had in a long time, her guard slowly coming down around him.

By the time they left the café, it was late, and the streets were dimly lit with soft streetlights. They walked together, side by side, the night air cool and refreshing.

"Thanks for today," Jungkook said as they reached the corner where they would part ways. "It was nice just being... normal."

Y/N smiled, feeling the same. "Yeah, it was."

They stood there for a moment, a quiet tension between them. Something unsaid hung in the air, but neither of them spoke it aloud.

"Goodnight, Y/N," Jungkook finally said, his voice low and warm.

"Goodnight, Jungkook," she replied, her heart fluttering as she watched him walk away.

As she made her way back to her apartment, Y/N couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted between them. What started as a professional connection had begun to blur into something more personal, something deeper. But she wasn't sure what to make of it yet. All she knew was that things were getting complicated—and she wasn't sure if she was ready for what came next.
