At 10 o'clock, the darkness outside mirrored the emptiness within. In her deserted room,  Tasleem, a petite figure slumped, her head buried in her knees. Sobs racked her slender frame, echoing off the empty walls. Her long, dark hair cascaded around her face, veiling her anguish.

As her fingers trembled, she gently tucked her hair behind her ears. Fresh tears welled up in her eyes, and her delicate fingers wiped away the droplets. Yet, more tears fell, streaming down her face like autumn rain. Paradoxically, her big, captivating eyes shone clearer, sparkling like stars in the dim light, untainted by her tears.

Tasleem's life shattered, orphaned at the age of six when her parents died in an accident. She endured 11 years of hardship and neglect under her uncle's wife, navigating a challenging upbringing marked by cruelty.

She rested her head against the desolate wall, feeling its barrenness echo the emptiness within her. Two minutes had passed, and she drifted off to sleep.

...

The next day......

RH Corporation was busy as usual.

Rayyan sat on his luxurious chair facing a pile of documents waiting to be signed. He was reviewing them when he had a knock on his door. He got an excessive cold and distant aura. Obviously, he's in a bad mood.

Maryam walked in, her 5 centimeters heels clicking on the floor.  Rayyan raised his head  and his face looked like a masterpiece sculpted. His features were sharp and prominent, especially his shrewd - looking eyes which radiated an unfathomable and mysterious charm.

His crisps white shirt complemented his handsome face enhancing his warm complexion. Golden rays of  sunlight illuminated him through the french window and made him sparkle.

Everything else seemed plain and ordinary by comparison.

He glared angrily at the woman standing opposite to him. He had a look that clearly showed that he wanted to strangle her.

Secretary Maryam trembled under his glare
She inspected him swiftly. she noticed Rayyan was furious right now.

She knew he had rejected countless high-society ladies vying for his attention in the capital city. Though she knew she wasn't his type,  why was she still drawn to him? Was it his wealth, influence, and captivating presence? Or perhaps because he was the eldest son of the esteemed Attajiri family?

She slowly said  " President Rayyan "

Rayyan's voice was a tempest, unleashing the words, "did you find it ?"

Maryam gulped.

Rayyan stretched his hand.

With trembling hand secretary Maryam gave him the envelop.

Without a second glance he said
" you can leave"
