Rayyan woke up to the warm sunlight filtered through the window, casting a warm glow. Birds chirping outside, their melodies intertwining with morning silence.
He slipped into his comfortable black sweatpants and a white t-shirt.
Heading downstairs, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled his senses.
"Good morning, mamie. Morning, Abba," Rayyan said.
Mamie, already seated at the dining table, smiled. "Morning."
Abba, reading the newspaper, nodded. "Morning, son."
He took his seat, surveying the breakfast.
Amira wandered into the dining room, rubbing her eyes. "Morning," she mumbled, plopping beside Rayyan.
Abba folded the newspaper and turned his attention to his son.
"How's the company going?""It's going well, Abba," Rayyan replied, taking a bite of his waffle.
Abba nodded thoughtfully.
The family enjoyed their breakfast together.
....Amira stormed into Rayyan's room, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "My sweet brother, please take me out." Her voice dripping with drama.
"It wouldn't kill you if you knocked before coming in."
"Come on, brother. I'm dying of boredom here," flopping onto his bed.
"What's so urgent?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
Amira's pout deepened. "Nothing's urgent. That's the problem. Nothing fun ever happens in this house." Her voice laced with desperation.
Rayyan chuckled. "You're being dramatic. Tell the driver to take you out."
Amira's eyes widened, her voice rising. "No, I want you to take me out, I know you can't say no to me. I'm your sweet little sister. Just say yes. Say it, say it, please, please, please brother."
It's well known that Rayyan spoiled his sister. He can never say no to her every demand. Rayyan was a total pushover when it came to his sister's whims. The siblings dynamic was unmistakable: Rayyan, the doting brother, and Amira, the adorable pest.
He sighed, "fine. Where do you want to go?"
Amira's face lit up. "Anywhere."
"seriously, Don't you think you should have a plan before taking off? You're so stubborn and foolish. It's no wonder you're the last born. you deserve the title."
She pouted her lips "whatever, change your clothes"
He rolled his eyes "you're not even ready yourself"
Noticing that she's still wearing her pajamas, she said "oh! Lemme go and change." reaching the doorknob, she said, "don't forget your car key."
"I know." He replied.
Reaching the parking lot, it took Amira 30 minutes before she came out. She stopped in front of her brother watching him from head to toe. She said "I told you to get changed."
He said "it's not up to you to tell me what to wear, if you're disappointed, I can gladly go back to my room."
She pouted. She knew he was searching for an excuse to change his mind. She said "of course you can wear whatever you like."
As Amra stepped out of their building, she noticed Rayyan and Amira engaged in a lively conversation. Her gaze instinctively drifted to Rayyan, she found herself captivated by his strong profile and bright smile. She knew he only smiled at his sister. His eyes sparkled with amusement, and his hair was perfectly mussed.
