The moon hung high in the sky, casting a silver glow over the quiet streets. Red Son walked alone, his hands shoved deep into his pockets, trying to shake off the sting of his mother's words: "You're useless you can't even make robots to defeat that monkey kid." Those words echoed in his mind, leaving him feeling more isolated than ever. He found himself wandering through dark alleyways, the silence amplifying his doubts. He wasn't sure where he was going, only that he needed to escape the suffocating expectations waiting for him at home. As he turned a corner, he spotted a familiar figure leaning against a wall, casually munching on a snack. It was MK, who had been out for a midnight stroll.

"Hey, Red Son," MK called out, noticing him. "What's up? You look like you just lost a fight. Red Son rolled his eyes. "What do you want MK? Just checking in. You don't usually wander around at night," MK said, his tone light but his gaze serious. Red Son shrugged trying to appear indifferent. Just needed some air.

Sure MK replied unconvinced. You know, you don't have to pretend with me. I'm not pretending, Red Son shot back, a hint of defensiveness creeping into his voice. MK took a step closer, his expression softening. Look I get it. Things can be rough with family. But you don't have to carry that weight alone.

Red Son turned away, the vulnerability in MK's words hitting too close to home. "You don't understand. I'm just... not what they want me to be. Maybe what they want isn't what you should be aiming for MK suggested. You're more than just your lineage. You can define who you are. I don't need your pep talks Red Son snapped frustration boiling inside him. He didn't want to admit how much his mother's words had affected him how lost he felt.

MK stayed calm, refusing to back down. "I'm not trying to lecture you. I just want you to see that you have your own strengths. You're not useless. Easy for you to say Red Son muttered crossing his arms. You don't have the same expectations hanging over your head. Maybe not, but I know what it feels like to struggle. We all have our battles MK replied earnestly. It's okay to feel lost sometimes. But shutting everyone out won't help. Red Son looked away, his defenses still up but he felt a flicker of something—maybe it was hope, maybe it was curiosity. I don't know what to do.

Then let's figure it out together MK offered. No pressure just two friends helping each other out. Red Son hesitated the walls he'd built around himself feeling both comforting and constraining. Why do you care so much? Because you're my friend MK said simply. And friends support each other. Just give it a chance.

As silence fell between them, Red Son felt a shift within himself. He didn't have to open up completely, but maybe he could allow a little bit of light in. Fine," he said at last, trying to sound tough but feeling a touch lighter. "Let's see what you've got. MK grinned, his enthusiasm infectious. "Alright! Let's train together. You'll discover your own fire in no time. As they set off into the night, Red Son found himself cautiously optimistic. With MK beside him, maybe he could start to figure out who he wanted to be—not defined by anyone else, but by his own choices.
