After his conversation with Dandy, Rodger needed a break desperately.

He spent the rest of his day with Teagan and Toodles. Teagan seemed happy he was taking a break.

That night. After tucking Toodles in, reading her a bedtime story and lying down. Rodger just couldn't sleep.

Teagan had something she had to do. She was probably with one of her Girlfriends.

He stared at the ceiling. Mostly thinking about the case from today.

He didn't even realize how late it was. It was past midnight when Teagan got back. Rodger had laid down to sleep at around 9pm.

He flinched when he heard their bedroom door open. He glanced over at Teagan. But quickly averted his eye when he realized she was changing.

She had specifically told him she didn't really care if he saw her change. They had done far more scandalous activities.

But for whatever reason it still felt wrong. So he looked away.

He felt Teagan carefully lay down beside him. He felt her soft PJs rub against his arm.

There was silence for a second. He assumed she was falling asleep. When she suddenly lifted herself up by her elbows.

"Rodger...?" "...Yes dear?" "Why are you still awake?"

Rodger sighed. Rolling over to face her.

He was going to speak, but he lost his breathe.

She looked gorgeous. I mean- She always looked gorgeous.

He found his wording. "S- Sorry dear. I just... This new case is... A lot."

Teagans gaze softened. She set her hand on his. "I'm sorry dear..."

Rodger moved closer to her. Wrapping his arms around her.

Rodger wasn't necessarily against cuddles. But he wasn't the most cuddly. But after everything that happened...

Teagan wrapped her arms around him back. Letting him bury his face in her chest.

It was only than Rodger realized how tired he was. He immediately started falling asleep.

Rodger woke up with a groan. Slowly getting up.

Teagan was still asleep beside him. In the night she looked even more gorgeous. He looked over at his clock. It was around 5am.

5 hours of sleep? Damn. That's the most he's gotten in years.

He could've gotten 8 for the first time since he was a teen if not for that case.

Speaking of.

He got up from bed. Walking over to his study. Closing the door behind him.

He sat at his chair and reviewed everything again.

Dandy had asked him not to interview Astro. And he was going to respect that.

The only other person he could ask is Flutter but...

Honestly? This case made him slightly scared of her.
