Oh also keep in mind this uses my headcanon (that I realized while editing a draft chapter I never released before the first part of this fuck me) that when Toons regress they become physically smaller!))

Teagan stirred awake when she heard a quiet whimper, followed by soft crying.

She opened her eyes and turned to the clock. [4:58] Rodgers alarm would be going off soon anyways.

She slowly sat up. Already knowing the crying was coming from the crib beside the bed.

She looked over and saw Toodles standing in the doorway. Seemingly surprised and concerned.

"Toodles? Why are you up?" Toodles flinched a bit. Letting out a squeak.

"I- I had a nightmare and... And I came in here and I saw the crib... It startled me and I think I woke em up..." She looked guilty.

Teagan slowly got up and walked over to her. Kissing her forehead. "You didn't do anything wrong dear. Rodgers alarm is going off any second anyways."

She picked Shrimpo up to try and soothe him. The moment Toodles recognized him her eyes widened a bit.

"Is that Shrimpo...?" "Mhm!" Teagan sat down on the bed so Toodles could get a better look.

Shrimpo seemed a little startled by Toodles. To be fair the room was dark. He probably couldn't see her well.

And since she was colored entirely black she blended in with the darkness perfectly. He could probably only really see 2 eyes.
(A/N: if any of you make any racism jokes I'm coming for you. /J (I tried so hard to reword this I couldn't figure out how sobs))

Shrimpo, teary eyed looked at Toodles. Who looked at him with curiosity. She suddenly smiled "He's so cute!" She has to stop herself from squealing.

Teagan smiled. Surprised at the fact Shrimpo wasn't startled by her whisper-yelling. Infact he seemed calmer.

Until the alarm went off.

Rodger just groaned. Rolling onto his side.

Toodles flinched and yelped. Which made Rodgers screech and sit up.

"Wha-!? Toodles!?" Rodger looked over at her. Not even considering Shrimpo with how tired he was.

Shrimpo had started crying with the alarm. But by the time the unfortunately series of events was over he was bawling.

As much as Teagan wanted to scold Rodger she couldn't really blame him. So she focused on soothing Shrimpo instead.

Once Rodger calmed down. And realized Toodles was teary-eyed and Teagan was trying to comfort Shrimpo, he moved to comfort her.

It took a while for everyone to calm down. Especially Shrimpo. Teagan ended up having to give him a pacifier from her Caregiver bag as well as a plush. Also from the same bag.

She could've given him back her blue one. The one in the crib. But if he got attached to that one she couldn't let him borrow it.

It'd be better if he used this one for now.

The lamp was turned on before Teagan unplugged the nightlight.

The tiny Shrimp let out a quiet squeak from surprise at the lights. before shielding his eyes with an adorable groan.

Teagan giggled at this.

Toodles left to go change out of her PJs while Teagan and Rodger did the same.
