Here is a disclaimer as i've seen some low key hateful and judgy comments toward my writing.

No, this story is not an awfully quick slow burn. No, Tommy does not love her. No, it is not ridiculous that John DOES love her. I have OBVIOUSLY not written ever since interaction between John and Florence/Valerie in hopes you can ASSUME the chapters are spread over weeks/months meaning they have met numerous times over these months.

This makes the love confessions understandable.

Yes, we only see John take her out once. But it happens more than once. He is kind to her and hardly ever uses her for her job. He mostly likes talking to her but still pays her, knowing she needs the money.

With the background of work and growing up that she has came from, it is understandable if she falls for him quickly. He's the first man who hasn't used her and has been kind to her. It's bound to happen. She's bound to catch feelings.

So, please, before you start low key being rude about my choice of storyline and how i set it out across chapters, think please.
