Chapter 5

"Whew," Ranveer sighed. "Glad that's over."

"I'm just glad we both won an award," Ranbir said. "I feel like we deserve it, after all the hard work we did in the past year."

"Yeah. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani being a hit is a huge relief," Ranveer agreed. "I'm also glad Alia and Deepika won an award too."

"Hey, what do you say you, me, and the guys meet at the gym tomorrow?" Ranbir asked. "We can workout, and then go for a drink, maybe get something to eat."

"That would be great," Ranveer accepted. "I'll invite the guys later. Anyway, see you tomorrow then. Bye, bro."

"Bye, Veer!"

Ranbir and Alia walked towards their car, and Ranveer led Deepika to their own car. Ganesh pulled out of his parking spot and drove away, Ranbir and Alia's car following close behind. They lived nearby.

Deepika sighed, leaning back against the seat, staring out the window. "I'm so sorry, Ranveer. I didn't know Vin was going to be here. I never expected he'd travel all the way to India for me."

"I would."

Deepika slapped his arm playfully. "Not my point. Anyway, I'm sorry he gave you a hard time. I know Vin is a good guy, he really is, but he can be... difficult sometimes."

"Sometimes?" Ranveer repeated. "Sure, he was great when you were shooting for Triple X, but after it released, it's like he's been trying to get you to cheat on me with him."

Deepika's eyes widened. "What?"

"Yeah. I know you think I'm crazy, but I have a strong feeling that I'm right. Ranbir doesn't really believe me, but he says it's possible. And Ranbir is clearly grossed out with Vin as well. What was it like working with Vin?"

"Trust me, I wasn't happy that I had to work away from you, my friends, and my family, but I didn't have a choice. This was a huge turn in my career, not that it wasn't doing well before. But I earned more fame from the United States after xXx Return of Xander Cage released. But working with Vin was okay, but its wasn't the best. I certainly didn't like the fact that he was arrogant, and he still is."

"I can see that," Ranveer muttered. "I'm so sorry, Deepu. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the show because of him. You don't know how angry I was when he started flirting with you."

"It's not your fault," Deepika assured him. "I would be pretty mad as well if another woman came up to you and started flirting with you. I love you too much, and I can't bear being apart from you."

"Is that how you felt while you were shooting for Fighter earlier?"

"Yes."

"Then I'm satisfied," Ranveer said jokingly, closing his eyes and resting his head on the headrest. Deepika giggled and gave him a peck on his cheek.

"Now I'm even more satisfied!" Ranveer exclaimed, grinning at Deepika. His singular dimple on one of his cheeks appeared, which caused Deepika's smile to widen.

It was a coincidence. Deepika had one dimple, and Ranveer had one dimple. Many people thought the fact that Deepika's dimple was on her right cheek and Ranveer's dimple was on his left cheek made them more compatible than they already were. Deepika wasn't sure if she believed this idea.

The car pulled to a stop on front of their house, and Ranveer got out, opening the door for Deepika. He grabbed her hand and they walked inside together as Ganesh drove the car back to its original place.

"Rest up, Deepu. We have many interviews tomorrow."
