Nudges

Amid the bustling party, the succubus and the hellhound found themselves isolated, part of their own little bubble. This was fitting, as Queen Bee had installed bubble machines, filling the air with big, iridescent, oily bubbles. The surreal, dream-like atmosphere felt strangely appropriate for their private conversation.

They made idle chit chat and the usual questions popped up. What's it like being rich and famous? What's your inspiration for song x and what did lyrics y mean? Answering the questions had become almost rote memory for her at this point. She secretly wanted to move the conversation towards other things, things the shape of a red imp with scars and horns but gliding into that topic was difficult and she didn't want to expose herself. And then the hellhound girl delivered, surprising her.

Loona hesitated before asking, "So... you and my dad dated, huh?" Verosika noticed the nervous edge in her voice but appreciated her curiosity. She sat down on the marble and took a swig of her drink."

"Yeah. Yeah. We used to date. Surprising?" Loona didn't hide her reaction, giving a look that could only be interpreted as 'Yeah, duh'.

"I mean, this is my dad we're talking about here. I know what he's like. I know he can be a bit of a fuck up. Ok, scratch that, a walking disaster." she offered, almost ashamed of what she was saying. "I just can't imagine him together with someone as famous and successful as you."

"Yeah well, strange things happen when people work together in close proximity like that I guess. He was my bodyguard, you know? Good one, too. And I guess the stress of the road, the constant shows and the night life brought us together like nothing else could."

Loona ventured cautiously, "I'm guessing the breakup was a disaster, huh? I remember how you two clashed when we shared the office building."

"Oh sweety," Verosika cooed. "I could write an entire album about the epic disaster of that particular breakup. In fact, I think I did... My second album, 'Hellenium Bitch'?. Went platinum and brought me closer to super-stardom. Ooh boy did he grind my gears. You wouldn't believe how angry he's made me."

"Y-yeah, that sounds like him alright".

"Yeah, Blitz has a particular skill when it comes to pushing people away at the wrong moment or being a belligerent jerk. Kind of makes me wonder why he seems to get along with you so well. Seems he's really fond of you. "

"Well, trust me, that fondness can get a little annoying with the way he constantly babies me." The hellhound huffed. Verosika figured that it was true, but did parents ever stop seeing their kids, adopted or not, as their babies? She was almost jealous.

"In the end it wasn't all bad. I still have some good memories... and the sex was great." Verosika bit her lip and couldn't stop herself before continuing. "I mean I've had never dated someone who could use their tongue like that to lic..." The hellhound, mid-sip, stopped abruptly and spat out her drink, coughing and sputtering."

"Ew ew ew!" she said and rasped. "Still my dad we're talking about here!. Too much information." Verosika chuckled.

"Yeah, sorry about that. Forgot who I was talking to for a moment there." Her mind still had fresh images of passionate nights where the little imp had indeed used his rather flexible tongue to snake around her most intimate area, plunging deep inside her until she was screaming with pleasure. So much for *that* lyric from her song the night they ran into each other at Ozzie's, just another lie she told in order to vent her frustration and to put him down. Shit, how many lies were there? When she shook the memory away she found the hellhounds big, saucer like red eyes staring at her.

Loona looked at her sheepishly and Verosika took a deep swig of her drink to shake herself back to reality. "Did you love him?" This time it was Verosika's turn to choke and not in a kinky way. Her half-swallowed beelzejuice went down the wrong pipe as her mind went into overdrive trying to quickly deny the claim. But an angry 'no' turned into a soft 'yes'.
