After Christian left I went downstairs to get a snack. Marco was sitting at the kitchen island, "Eliana, we need to talk.", he said coolly. "Okay", I walked over to him and sank into the chair next to him. "You're dating Zane.", he wasn't asking me, he was telling me. "Yes, thank you for reminding me.", I answered sarcastically. He turned towards me with a warning look.
I sighed. "So? Why is everyone in my business today?", I asked annoyed. "Eliana. End this thing with him. For your sake."
I shook my head, "Nope.", "Eliana, I'm doing this to protect you. Believe me. He's not a person you want to date or be friends with.", I rolled my eyes. "I honestly really don't care. Because on our date he seemed really sweet. And he's in your Football Team. In Christian's too. You shouldn't talk bad about your teammates behind their back.", I shook my head. "Christian? He talked to you about this?", Marco looked confused. "Yes. He didn't snitch to you about me and Zane?", I answered also confused. "No. I just saw Zane driving away after he dropped you off here.", there was a short silence, "That's not what this was about though. Just don't hang around with him anymore, okay?"
I frowned, "Not really, no.", I stood up. Marco yelled after me, "Eliana I swear if he's an ass to you-", I didn't hear the rest because I slammed the door behind me shut.

Not even 2 minutes later Zane called. We talked a little. Of course I didn't tell him about my talk with Christian and Marco. We decided to go on a second date tomorrow. He told me there is a park, he likes where we could go picnicking.
We were on a call for 2 hours so it was already evening when he had to hang up.

In the next morning I got ready and went to school. It was a nice day. Normally I didn't like Thursday's, but I was excited cause of the date. School went by and I got home. He wanted to pick me up in one hour and 30 minutes. I still had to prepare something for the picnic. I made a quick ponytail and got the ingredients. I started making cupcakes.

When the cupcakes were inside the oven, I changed into a black shirt with a little bow and flare jeans, I thought about putting on a dress but it was October so that wouldn't be practical. I got downstairs and took the cupcakes out. I started decorating them with the cream and strawberries and stuff, because no matter what time of year strawberries are always delicious.
I packed a little bag when the doorbell ringed. I was just searching for my phone, when I heard Marco say, "I'll get it."
"No!", I cleared my throat and repeated more calm, "No, it's for me.", I walked towards the door. "Okay.", Marco answered turning around again. "Hey.", I smiled opening the door. "Hi.", he answered also smiling. We walked to his car it was a little cold, but I didn't want to run in again to get a thicker jacket, it would be too dangerous, Marco could see him.

We drove for about 15 minutes. When we got there, we both got out of the car. We sat down, there weren't many people there. Just an old couple a woman with a dog and a two girls who were also picnicking. It was a beautiful parc. We talked a little bit and ate.
"Really? You're joking.", I said stunned. "Nope. I'm sorry Strawberries are just not for me.", He shrugged. I gasped jokingly. "Wow I've really seen your true color today, Zane.", I shook my head sarcastically. He laughed. I was still a little cold but it got a little better. I thought about asking him for his jacket, but I think he didn't notice I was cold and I didn't wanna sound rude asking him for his jacket when he also just had this jacket. This date was a little more casual than the other one, which I liked. I really didn't get why everyone was talking so bad about him. He's funny, kind and good looking.
We were talking when I felt something cold, wet on my nose. I looked up and was right. Another rain drop hit my forehead. Perfect timing. "I think it's starting to rain.", he said disappointed. "Yeah", I said also disappointed. "Come on we can finish the date at mine again.", he smiled. I nodded. We packed our stuff and walked towards his car, well it was more running cause neither of us had an umbrella.

We arrived at his house not much later. It was still raining so we ran to his front door again. I had to say as someone who reads books, I was a little disappointed in him that he didn't give me his jacket. But I realized that sounded selfish so I got over it fast. Also still he had nothing other than his jacket either.

When we were inside we took our jackets off. We walked up to his room. He sat on his bed and I went towards his chair again. "You know I don't bite, right?", he asked. I giggled, "First of all that was a hell of a line, second of all, I know I just didn't know if you wanted me to sit on your bed.", I smiled. He chuckled at my first statement, but then patted the bed to point out for me to sit there. I walked over and sat down next to him.
He turned towards me. When I turned towards him, I realized how close we were now.
He looked at my eyes and then at my lips. I was unsure what to do now so I just did the same. He leaned in to kiss me. My first instinct was to lean back, but I didn't. His lips touched mine, in a soft way. He tasted like my cupcakes (Not the one's with strawberries of course). We pulled away for a second before we leaned in again, his lips were soft. He put his right hand on my cheek, the other one was still on his bed. I put one hand on his shoulder. After a moment we pulled away again.

He opened his mouth to say something, but before any words could make their way out my phone ringed.
"I'm so sorry.", I smiled sheepishly. I took my phone out of my pocket. Marco was calling.

Sorry I'm late guys! Next Chapter will be out soon🫶🏼💋
