"This should be far enough, I think?" Grim said as the whole group fell onto the dirt ground in exhaustion.
"We somehow made out alive..." Hachi said
"Yeah, no thanks to Loosey-Deucey!" Ace said angrily "What the heck were you thinking anyway?! Jumping the gun like that is too risky!"
"And I felt like you turned into a different person for a second." Grim said
"I'm sorry. I was a little upset." Deuce said "But now that we know there are gems here, we need to find a way past that monster."
"Are you for real?! Let's just give up and go home. I'll happily take the expulsion if it means never having to fight that thing again." Ace said
"What?! Nuh-uh, not happening!" Deuce said "I've told you before, I CANNOT get expelled from Night Raven! How can we give up when the gems are right there!?"
"Pfft. Big talk from someone who's not even half the mage I am." Ace said "We just fought that thing and it creamed us. You want that stone so bad, go get it yourself. I'm out."
"Oh YEAH?! Fine, go back to your coop, you big chicken!" Deuce angrily yelled
"Whaaaaat?! Who're you calling chicken, huh?!" Ace yelled back.
"Aaand they're at it again." Grim said
"What do you think we should do, Joker-san?" Hachi asked but Joker didn't reply and just sat on the ground, deep in thought "Joker-san..?"
"Joker! You agree that fighting that monster is crazy, right?!" Ace asked
"Joker! Surely you don't want to go back empty-handed, right?" Deuce asked, but once again, Joker didn't reply.
"Is he even listening..?" Grim questioned
"Oi! Joker!"
"Joker!"
"Human!"
"Joker-san!?"
"Hosshi!"
"WILL ALL OF YOU JUST SHUT UP ALREADY!!!!!!????" Joker finally yelled, annoyed, at the top of his lungs, startling the group as his voice echoed throughout the forest.
"Whoa, that was loud." Grim said "What exactly were you thinking so hard about, anyway?"
"A plan to get the gem, of course." Joker answered, causing him to get a "Are you insane" look from Ace "Don't get me wrong, I haven't got the slightest care if you two get expelled or not. But as a phantom thief, there's no way I'm letting that monster rude my reputation!"
