Nala's pov:
"Are you ready?" My mom asked, letting go of my hand. I could hear the excitement in her voice but I had no idea what the surprise was that made her drag me all the way downstairs.
I laughed nervously. "I guess.."
"Open your eyes." I opened my eyes seeing my dad and a stranger in front of me. "Umm who is this?" I questioned with confusion written all over my face.
Their head was down so I couldn't get a good look at their face but they are very tall. Taller than my dad who stood beside them.
"Your question should be what is this, and my answer to that is your very own artificial android! She's one of the newest models and let's just say me and your mom had to pay a pretty penny for her." My dad revealed with a smile on his face.
My eyes widened. "What? Why? I mean thank you. Can I touch her?" I got closer for a better look. She looked terrifyingly human. Ai Android's have been a thing for quite some time now but I've never seen one this realistic.
"Of course sweetie you can touch her, she's all yours. We got her for your 18th birthday." My dad further revealed.
"But my 18th birthday was months ago?"
"It's a late birthday gift. Now stop with all the questions and turn her on so you can set her up!" My mom encouraged. I looked back at my two parents and hugged them.
"Thank you guys like seriously." I said expressing my gratitude. I turned back around and faced my new gift. That's when I realized I had no idea how to work it.
