Vegas POV
"Khun Vegas, here is a preliminary report for software company acquisition. This one is from metal fabrication plant. Another one is the audit report for the brewery." Nop put a lot of documents on the table, "I also sent a contract to your email."
Vegas just grunted in acknowledgement without looking at Nop. His eyes bore on his monitor, "How about today's meeting?"
Nop was silent for a moment before replying in flat tone, "Judging by your clothes, it seems you've forgotten what day it is today, Khun."
"Hmm what?" Vegas finally looked at Nop.
"Today is your cousin's wedding." Nop replied, "All meetings are rescheduled to other dates."
Vegas' eyes widened slightly from that information. Was it today? It literally crossed his mind, "Did I even get an invite?"
Nop came forward then placed the gold card with family symbol in front of him, "Unexpectedly, you got one. Big sent this yesterday."
Vegas snorted, picking up the card for a close look. His cousin's wedding was all over the media, but he barely paid any attention to it. With Porsche as the other groom, he thought he wouldn't be invited. The last time he had met Porsche a few years ago had not been particularly friendly and after that Porsche had refused to meet him at all.
That was why getting a family card with his name printed on one side really took him by surprise. What did Kinn offer Porsche to allow him to invite Vegas?
"At first they only sent cards to Khun Gun and Khun Macau so your father asked Khun Kinn himself to invite you and Khun Tawan." Nop seemed to know what Vegas was thinking.
Vegas snorted again. Of course, it was because of his father. As bad as Kinn's relationship with his family was, he probably couldn't find a reason to refuse his uncle's request.
No, his father didn't do it for him. His family would have made headlines in the media if Vegas and Tawan weren't at the reception. As usual, his father only wanted to save himself.
"You may go, Nop." Vegas said as he returned the card to his desk, "Remind me to leave in about an hour or so."
"There's something else, Khun." Nop quickly replied, "Khun Tawan is on his way here."
Vegas put on a disgusting face, "Why the hell is he coming here?"
"Khun Gun asked the whole family to go together because it is good for publication and you haven't appeared with Khun Tawan for some time." Nop explained calmly.
Vegas winced thinking he should act like a harmonious family in public, "I refuse. I'll go alone."
"Sorry, I worded it incorrectly, Khun." Nop said in an unconcerned manner, "Khun Gun ordered the family to go together."
Vegas groaned and threw his head in desperation. Not only he had to go to the wedding he wasn't invited in the first place, he had to fake his smile and his demeanor too. He didn't care about media and publication. Moreover, he didn't care about not showing up with Tawan. What was the point of showing up together when they barely saw each other.
"Your father and Khun Macau are on their way here too. They decided to leave from here because it is closer to the hotel." Nop added, "You may only have 15 minutes left before one of them arrives."
Vegas could only stare at Nop in disbelief, "And you didn't bother to tell me that first?"
"I thought you're already know, Khun." Nop replied with a shrug, "If I may quote Khun Macau, hiaa would know if he checked his damn phone."
