Another headache morning for Pete. Even though Venice agreed to stay with Miss Gem yesterday, it seemed that he was still hesitant to be left behind. Since he woke up in the morning, Venice practically glued to him and put a pouting face the entire morning. Pete had to carry him around because his son refused to walk with his own feet.
Pete didn't expect Venice to be so hard to leave behind. Venice, after all, was used to living in a childcare center from the time he was a baby. Pete had to work so he usually left Venice at daycare then picked him up after work late in the afternoon. He was eventually able to spend more time with Venice after he and Tin decided to build their own bakery. He was his own boss now so his work time was more flexible.
Pete let out a long sigh while gently stroking Venice's head. Maybe staying in a foreign city with someone he just met made Venice hesitate.
"I think he wants to come with you." Miss Gem lightly commented as he put a cup of hot chocolate and a cup of tea on the table.
Pete shook his head and mouthed at Miss Gem without a sound so Venice in his arms couldn't hear him, "I can't bring him."
Miss Gem put out a bitter smile, "Your suit is all wrinkled."
"I know." Pete sighed again. Currently he was wearing a simple black suit with white shirt underneath. He didn't want to stand out too much so he just wore a very basic suit he could find and wore glasses to poorly disguise himself.
"I don't think your glasses will work." Miss Gem snorted. She actually already made the same comment when Pete just arrived, "People still recognize you."
"They won't." Pete answered firmly.
"Oh? What are you going to do?" Miss Gem asked, suddenly feeling curious.
"I won't stand or sit around them." He replied, "I just come to see Porsche for a bit from a far and dropped the wedding present. I'll leave as soon as possible."
Miss Gem massaged her forehead with a desperate sigh, "So you won't see Porsche at all? At least give the wedding present to him in person."
Pete just replied with a sad smile on his face, "I'll leave the wedding present in the waiting room."
"And you're supposed to know where the waiting room is?" asked Miss Gem, eyeing Pete curiously.
Pete grinned, "Remember when I said The Phoenix was the place where Porsche and Kinn first met?" Miss Gem nodded slightly, "Well, I was with Porsche that time..."

Pete fixed the tie that wrapped on his neck too tightly. He moved his shoulder around, hoping to loosen his uniform a little bit. The tan man beside him was doing the same, clearly uncomfortable with the vest type clothes they were wearing.
"Damn, if this job didn't pay well, I wouldn't wear this horrible thing." Porsche cursed angrily, "Don't let me find out who made this uniform."
"Calm down." Pete said with a light chuckle, "Don't ruin this. P'Khun was kind enough to put our names on the employee list when he found out we were in a tight spot this month."
"Don't worry, I won't do anything stupid." Porsche waved his hand, "Is P'Khun coming?"
"No, he said he never attended his family functions." answered Pete.
Porsche nodded, "How about Vegas? Is he here?"
Pete put on a bitter smile, "Yes, he is with his father."
