"Don't worry darling u will be fine, u have no interviews or anything this is light work for u" tommy spoke up sensing the nerves that only appear before award shows or live performances
"I know its just been a minute u know"i replied feeling a little calmer at the reassurance
"All done"he said looking at me "stand up have a look"
"It's literally gorgeous thank u sm" i hugged him and then walked outside to get in that same black suv I always go in

Arriving to the venue it brought back the memories of when i met Matty except i know he is not here this time. Me and Matty have been out a couple of times since this first time but he's back in London and I've had to stay here for a couple more days. We are texting pretty often but everything is still very casual.
I stepped out the suv to Maria who didnt even look up from her phone at me despite it quite literally being her job. Honestly I have no idea what's going with her at the minute but I need to find out.
"Hey" I said louder than my usual voice
She looked up and if looks could kill id be dead
"2 minutes and u will be on" she said pointing to the carpet
"I should fire u u know"I said looking at her still typing on her phone
She looked up and saw the serious look on my face and put her phone in her pocket and ushered me to the carpet like usual as I rolled my eyes at her unprofessionalism.

Once we were in the venue it was just me and Maria sitting there on a small table near the front of the sitting area. The vmas was a new award show so I was a bit shaky but a vibration from my phone stopped my intrusive thoughts from spiralling

"I wish u would have told me could have made everything a lot easier"a voice pulled me out of my love trance
I looked to the left of me at maria who had raised her eyebrows at me
"What?" I said to her confused
"U and Matty" she said pointing at my phone that she must of been looking at
"Oh no its not like that"I said slightly relieved for some reason given the way she's been acting recently I thought I had done something wrong
"What is it like then? U guys just fucking?" She said in a monotone voice not caring one bit
I gasped "no its not like that either can u keep ur voice down or not have this conversation here"
She rolled her eyes at me and right in that moment I seriously wanted to punch her
"What is ur problem it was a couple of dates that's all I didnt tell u because u have been acting weird now can u drop it we'll talk about this later"I said turning away and looking back at my phone

Matty:good luck x

I smiled and switched my phone off about an hour after, my first nomination got announced

"And the winner of song of the year goes to....."
"Y/n"
I jumped with a hand over my mouth shocked Maria hugged me and up I went onto the stage

I hugged the woman who presented the award and took it into my hand mumbling a thank you

"Wow um thank u so much to anyone who thought I was deserving of this award honestly it means the world" I took a deep breath and looked out to the sea of celebrities in front of me suddenly feeling a new wave of nerves .my voice came out shaky as I said
"And also id like to thank my fans without their love, trust and loyalty I wouldn't even be here.id also like to thank my wonderful producers who couldn't be here tonight my friends and family they know who they r and they honestly have helped keep me sane over the past 6 years um have a good night thank u so much " i finished handing the award back and going back to my chair.

The rest of the night went well and i brought my award back home and placed it on a shelf with other awards.

*incoming call from Matty*

I picked it up giggling

"Why on earth r u calling me?"I said still giggling

"I wanted to congratulate u of course"he said smiling down the phone

"Well thank u" I said smiling sincerely to him
" my flight back to London is tomorrow"i said more like question to him

"Oh really and why might that interest me"he replied smirking through the screen

"U will have to find out tomorrow" i said before hanging up

Matty pov

"Ugh" I squeaked as she hung up the phone i swear to god
George started laughing from the sofa followed by Charli who was to his left . I had told them about everything that had happened as they could kind of put together the pieces after the photo of me and y/n surfaced.
"Guess ur seeing her tomorrow then"George said as i made my way back to the sofa
"Oh yea that was never a question" i responded and they both started laughing again
"Alright then I'm going up" i said rolling my eyes mumbling a goodnight
" u can let urselves out" i finished walking out of the room
Once laying down in bed i began to scroll through the endless photos of y/n from the awards that had come up on my instagram due to the immense stalking i did on her before. I text her goodnight before drifting off to a peaceful slumber.
