Chapter 3 - Coffee expert

Anna's POV

I wake up at 7 am again this morning. I love waking up early but I am honestly not a morning person. I have found that if I do not get out of bed when my alarm goes off I will not get out of bed before 10 am. I put on my tights and a shirt, and my running shoes, my go to running music right now is Imagine Dragons, it's not that I'm a huge fan, but the beat, is just perfect for running or working out.

As I run into the driveway I see Andrew and three other men get into the car, I spot Geoff as he smiles my way, and I wave.

Geoff's POV

I spot Anna come running, and I wait to get into the car so I can say good morning to her, but seeing that she is wearing headphones I just smile at her, and she waves my way.

Wow, she just seems to be a great person, who really cares about others. We had a really great talk yesterday, and I really hope we can become friends, because having a friend like her would just be perfect. I turn to look at Andrew as he says my name, "oh sorry" I say, as I get into the car and put my seatbelt on.

"Bro what is your problem?" I ask Shawn when we arrive at the studio. "What do you mean?" he answers, the rest of the team just looks confused at Shawn, they all clearly know what I'm talking about. "Well why are you acting like an asshole in front of Anna, you have never been like that?" Mike chimes in. Shawn just shakes his head and walks into the studio.

We all talk about what a great night we had last night, "Oh man Brian was all smitten by Anna..." Josiah says, and we all laugh, except Shawn who seems to be a bit mad over the fact. "Well she does not want to find love here" Andrew starts, "does she not believe in love?" I ask, "No, well I don't know that. But she just got out of a really long relationship, and I am not going to tell more about that, I think that is her place to tell" Andrew says and we all nod

Anna's POV

Maria, the boys and I are going to the mall, I am going to get some new stuff, just so I can get ready for my new work, which starts tomorrow. This will be my first time in a mall, being, as we do not really have it this size in Denmark.

We walk around and shop a little before stopping for lunch at a café. The boys both got fries and nuggets, Maria got pasta, and I got a Caesar salad. As we finish out lunch, we get up but the boys spot a playground and want to play. Maria and I sit on a bench talking for about an hour before we grab the boys and walk around shopping for the next hour. As we get into the car I get a text.

From unknown number:
Hey Anna I got your number from Andrew.
Do you want to grab a cup of coffee at the mall – Geoff

Me:
Hi, yeah that would be great, when?

Geoff:
Well I'm actually on my way now, so just whenever

Me:
I am actually here so I will just wait for you.

I text Geoff, and tell Maria about my plan, as I get out of the car. "Hi" I say as I spot Geoff walking towards me. "Hi" he says as he embraces me into a hug.

The time just flew by, "I'm so sorry I have completely forgotten the time, I really have to get home" I tell Geoff "oh my god, yeah it is really late," he says and we both laugh. "Do you want a ride home?" Geoff asks and I nod.

"Dinner was delicious," I tell Maria, "well it is my mother's recipe" Maria answers. I walk up to the bathroom connected to my room, to shower, and get ready for bed. Finally, I throw myself on my bed to write in my diary.

Dear Diary 🩷 Sunday, January 5, 2024

Today has been fun. I ran 5 km this morning, before going to the mall with Maria and the boys.
I got a lot of new stuff for work and a few things to make my room more personal.

In addition, I met up with Geoff to drink some coffee, and we ended up talking until I had to go home for dinner. That was actually all I did today, I am just really excited to start work tomorrow.

Actually, I will not be working every day of the week, I will only work three days and then I have two days to study. You see I still have to pass my finals this coming summer. So I really also need time to study for these. Every week I will choose which three days, I will work and which two I will have off.
