After about a month of dating, on May 2 to be exact, I asked Anna to be my girlfriend. I know we have not known each other for long, but we are kind of in a hurry here, because she has to travel back home in June. That was one of the happiest days of my life, Anna would probably tell you almost the same, except she went to the eras tour and saw Taylor Swift live, which apparently is better than becoming my girlfriend.
We have now been in a relationship for a little over a month and we are getting ready to say goodbye for now, because she leaves in just a couple of days, and I have to go to LA for some interviews and start tour. "You could make your relationship official" Andrew tells me, you know it will probably be easier for you to tour and be without her for a while if people know you have a girlfriend" Andrew says and I nod looking back at Anna who has fallen asleep with her head in my lap. "I don't know man, I am honestly just scared" I start "I don't want people to be rude towards her, man I know we cannot live in this perfect bubble forever," I say. "Think of it this way, it will be easier for you to see her because people will know you are dating, the only thing they will want to know is her name. but if you just tell your fans that you want to share this with them, but still want to keep it kind of a secret they should respect your wished" he says and I nod.
"I mean she could also post something, without your face and no one will know, then when you post, her post will have been up for a while and people will probably not be suspicious" I think this may be the best idea, it is not that I am ashamed of Anna, but I just want to protect her. I shake Anna awake because we have to get up, Andrew leaves the room so it is just the two of us. "Andrew suggested we launch our relationship..." I start and she looks scared "hear me out. You could post a photo on you Instagram without my face, and when I go on tour I will tell the fans that we are a couple and that I would like to keep you private for now" I say hugging her, I can feel her nod against my chest. "I have just been waiting for this" she chuckles. She opens Instagram and apparently she already had the photo ready, she writes a caption and posts the photo.

Anna's POV
As I post the photo I get kind of nervous, I have not yet told my family who my new boyfriend is. I of course told my close family and my best friend about Shawn but I did not tell them his name or who he is. I only told my dad and sister who he is, and they freaked out. My dad was scared the distance was going to destroy the relationship, and of course, he was scared to have his daughter move to another country. My sister on the other hand freaked out because I am now THE Shawn Mendes' girlfriend, and she really wants to meet him.
