Edward's POV
Just when I thought high school can't get any worse......
Ever since my timely accident, the staring became even more prominent. Tyler took advantage of the sudden popularity but I wasn't having it. Many of my classmates try to talk to me, asking me about my injury but I politely tell them that I'm perfectly fine.
However Isabella's obsession with me seems to be taken up a notch Her meddling is at an all time high right now, trying to talk to one of my siblings and following me from behind. She became more curious about us, especially with Elliot since she saw him stop the van with his bare hand.
Because of it, I asked Mr Adam if I could switch seats with someone else. Now, I'm paired up with Angela and she's nice. We haven't had one problem with her up until now. Isabella didn't like that at all and is constantly pestering her to switch with her.
Angela, thankfully, said no and told her that Mr Adam is the one who made the seating arrangement and she wouldn't get in trouble because of her. Isabella went red and stomped away after being rejected again.
We then head out to the school bus. Today, we are having a field trip to the greenhouse. I sat next to Alice and Jasper. I rest my head against the window and saw Bella leaving in the other bus. She kept her eyes on me as we left the school, leaving her bus behind.
"She hasn't stopped staring at you guys, huh?" I looked up and saw Angela facing us from the front seat. "Yeah, she doesn't seem to understand the word no." I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration.
"I understand. I hope she'll stop soon. I mean, she already has a bad rep with the cops. Let's just hope she does something worse to get sent off." Angela's words shocked me. Bella must have pissed people off to the point that even the kindest girl in school hates her.......
The bus finally stopped and we quickly got off. Mr Adam starts explaining about the use of compost and other things in photosynthesis..... Honestly, I'm just here because I'm bored. I lingered behind the group, texting Elliot to pass the time.
"Hey, Edward." Why the hell is she here again? "Bella, do you just not get the memo?" I snapped at her. I quickly walked towards Alice and Jasper for some support. The 'couple' seems to be texting their significant other as well. They didn't stop texting as I joined in their huddle.
"Blood singer again?" Jasper asked, persistently texting Silas non-stop.
"Yeah, she's trying to corner me."
"Sit by Angela. Bella won't try anything if she sees you talking to someone," Alice suggested, putting her phone away after sending one last message to Adam for today. I agreed and walked up to Angela. "Hey, Angela."
"Hi, Edward. Running away from Bella, I guess?" Pointing towards a fuming Bella, 'listening' to Jessica's confession on wanting to go to the spring dance with Mike and is asking if she wanted to come along. I'm pretty sure Jessica is either too lonely or is planning a prank on Bella during the dance.
Unfortunately, Bella replied that she'll be heading to Seattle that day. I would love to see her get her medicine but, oh well. Maybe, next time.... "So, will you be going to the spring dance with Elliot next week?" Angela asked, pointing at my ring.
"Um, no." I twist my ring around as I replied. "We're going on a date. We're spending the day in his summer cabin. Actually, are you free during the spring dance?" Angela nodded and I asked if she would like to come visit Lucifer's club.
"It'll be fun and if you don't want to do that, Gabriel's son has a bookstore near the club that is opened all night. You can just hang out there while the rest of us parties. There are many things you can read there, novels, comics, and he also prepares tea and hot chocolate for the customers to enjoy. The perfect place for a reader like yourself."
Angela was immediately tempted with the offer and we exchanged contact information before catching up with the others. Bella tried to talk to me again but Angela quickly stopped it by asking me more about Gabriel's son's bookstore/library.
"Edward. I want to ask if you would like to go to the spring dance with me?" Bella shamelessly asked, like I haven't been ignoring her for days before. "Bella, I will tell you again. I'm ENGAGED and WILL BE HAPPILY MARRIED after graduation, Understood? Now, please leave us alone." I speed walked to the teacher and listened in on the lecture while Bella hovers behind me.
When it was time for us to head, Angela joined the 3 of us, together at the back seat. Bella tried to get in as well but Alice quickly told her that the bus was full and that her designated bus is next to us, "And for the love of god, please leave my family alone. You're starting to get on our nerves too much now."
School was over by the time we arrived and I quickly locked myself in my car after storing my bags in the trunk. Bella stared at my car for a moment before going into her truck and drove off. "Finally...." I breathed a sigh of relief as she drove further away from here.
"Sorry, we're late!" Alice jumped into the back while Jasper sat in the passenger seat. I started the engine and spun the car back home. As we stopped at the intersection, I received a text from Elliot. 'get ready and dress casual warm. I'm holding a surprise date for us tonight. Love you, my pianist ❤️.'
"Another date, huh?" Jasper teased. I punched him on the shoulder, "shut up. He's been busy and we were supposed to go on a date when the crash happened, anyway....." I sent a text back saying, 'Ok, love. I'll see you tonight❤️.'
"Can I-"
"Yes, Alice. You can pick out my outfit. Just not something flashy or tight, alright?"
