  *BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEE-!*

Michael slams his hand down on the alarm clock and crawls out of bed, lying on the floor, still wrapped up in his blankets. He opens his eyes and takes a look around his room. It looks exactly the same as he left it the night before, all his posters on the walls, his computer in its place, his desk littered with comics and computer parts. He really needed to get a work station.

"Michael, breakfast is ready!"

A thought he will have after having something to eat. He changes clothes, then goes into his bathroom and looks in the mirror. His blondish tan hair is sticking up in some areas and lying flat on others. He grumbles and manages to get it to stay before going downstairs and the smell of cinnamon rolls and bacon hitting him square in the face.

"I was wondering if you were even awake up there. Glad to see I was right." Nikki, his aunt, kisses him on the head and places a plate in his spot at the table. For a woman in her early forties, she had aged gracefully, only looking somewhere in between her early and late thirties. She sits next to him and smiles gently.

"You ready for your last day of middle school? I can't wait to hear all about it when you get home."

Michael nods, clearly too focused on his food to notice the conversation. When they arrive at the school, she turns around in her seat and faces him.

"So, Michael, it's the last day of school, so please promise me you won't get into any trouble. Please?" Michael smiles and waves her off. "I promise nothing bad is gonna happen. I'll be on my best behavior."

He gets out of the car and walks into class. The teacher was going over where the students applied to go to high school in the next few months. Going over each student one by one, he eventually gets to the two most popular students.

Katsuki Bakugou was the first, and everyone knew him because he wanted to be known. He was arrogant, loud, and much like his quick, explosive. His anger was always an issue, but if you really got on his nerves, there was nothing you could do could do to stop him.

The other student was a boy named Izuku Midoriya, and he was popular for the complete opposite reason. He was shy, quiet, but he was also one of the smartest students in the school. But that's not what made him popular. He was well known because he was the only person in the school to be born quirkless. And with Bakugou being the one to bully him, he never got much of a chance to spread his wings.

"Don't rope me in with these D-lister extras, teach! I'm going to UA and be the best hero ever!!" Bakugou was loud and proud, but nobody really knew what to say.

The teacher was going over the last few and saw one that caught his eye. "Oh, Midoriya, you also applied for UA's hero course, right?" That statement made Bakugou stop dead in his tracks. Midoriya slowly picked his head up from the desk just as a hand came slamming down on it, small explosions knocking him back against the wall, singeing his desk top.

"There's no way in hell you're gonna be able to get into UA, Deku! You're just a quirkless loser and that's all that you're ever gonna be!" His green haired classmate started to stutter as he always did.

"No! There's a written part of the exam, so I think I could do well if I really tried!" Talking back earned him another threat.

The rest of the test isn't going matter when you need to be physically strong too! Having no quirk pretty much guarantees you won't get a spot. Just give up, damn loser!"

Michael looks over at them, and sighs. "You're quite a character, Katsuki." Bakugou looks over and grabs him out of his seat.

"You wanna say that again, extra?!?" Michael smirks and puts his hands up in a playful attempt to feign ignorance. "Oh, who said that? It couldn't have been me, because I'm SOOOO scared."
