The drop ship shuffled, the lights flickered. 100 teenagers ranging in ages were being sent down to earth. No one had stepped foot on earth since the nuclear apocalypse 97 years ago. As far as everyone on the ark, a unified ship of all of the surviving space stations. Had known the earth was not survivable.
"Murphy I'm scared" A little girl spoke to the boy next to her as she clutched onto the red seat belts that were covering her shoulders.
The little girl had thick brown hair pulled back into a neat pony tail... She gazed over upon a 17 year old brown haired boy whom she had been familiar with. He had been in the cell next to hers in the skybox. The prison on the ark where they keep all the under 18's who have committed any type of crime before they go on trial again at 18 before they are executed based on the severity on their crime to help reduce the population.
"Yeah... well we all are" The boy responded with attitude before looking over towards the 11 year old girl who turned her head back to face the front of the drop ship, a terrified expression written all over her face.
"I'm sorry- This just sucks" He said guiltily for snapping at her.
"Look Adiella at least if we die down there, we won't be stuck in those hell hole cells anymore... And if we live even better. We'll be free" He addressed the little girl once more and she looked up at him nodding trying to replace her fear with hope.
