"Hey! How did it go?" Max sat at one of the Red Bull tables outside his motorhome. He stood up and rushed to Olivia as he saw her walk down the paddock.

"I'm completely fine" said Olivia shrugging as they kept walking together "Which I knew. I mean honestly, what were they expecting to find from a few bruises?" she said brushing it off "You know what they told me? The only thing they could find? I'm anemic" she said as she rolled her eyes. Max grabbed her shoulders and stopped her.

"Wait, what?" he said holding on to her shoulders so she wouldn't move.

"I'm fine, they didn't find any bleeding or.."

"No, no, the last part" clarified Max with wide eyes.

"I'm anemic" she shrugged "I can't believe my trainer didn't catch that, or my nutritionist. Can you believe it?" she said indignantly.

"You're anemic?" asked Max as a wide smile spread on his face.

"Yeah that's what I just sai-" Olivia's words were cut short when Max picked her up and gave her a quick spin as he laughed from the unbearable happiness.

"Yes! Fuck yes!" he yelled out with a laugh before he put her back down on the ground "You're anemic! Oh my god that's fantastic!" he yelled out excitedly with bright eyes and a beaming smile.

"You're very happy about that" Olivia's brow furrowed in confusion as she chuckled at his excitement.

Max threw his arms around her, hugging her closely to his body and for the first time in days Olivia felt the pressure of his arms holding her close. Then she heard his whispers in her ear "I didn't hurt you. I didn't. I didn't hurt you, you're anemic".

At his words Olivia held back the tears forming in her eyes. She closed her eyes for a moment as she wrapped her arms around him too, in an embrace she deeply needed, and apparently Max needed even more.

She turned her head to his ear so the movement of her lips wouldn't be picked up by any camera "I told you lief. The only thing you've done is love me".

Max smiled brightly and after he held her for a moment longer he finally let go of her "Are you hungry? I'm getting you a steak. Or five. How soon can we pump you full of meat to get rid of that anemia?"

Olivia laughed as she looked at his bright eyes and unwavering smile. She started walking again with her arm around his torso and Max placed his arm around her shoulders. "It's a little early for a steak. But after practice I'll take any meat you give me"

Max gasped "That sounded dirty" he laughed.

"It was intentional" Liv chuckled, it made Max laugh even harder and blush as he accompanied her to her motorhome.

"Do you feel okay to do another lap?" asked Leo over the radio.

"Leo stop asking me that. I can do as many laps as possible, I'm fine" said Liv with an annoyed voice.

The truth was, she was in pain. The pressure of the car and the G-force on her bruises were excruciating. It would all make her breathing go quicker than it already did as she drove, and sometimes during a curve she would gasp from the unexpected pang of pain. She would never admit to any of it though.

"Then give us another lap before the session is over. Good job Liv" said Leo.

It wasn't her best practice, but she did end on P5. Once she was getting out of the car, little whispers of pain and shuddering gasps escaped her mouth, muffled by the helmet as she got out of the car more slowly than usual.
