Vaelora
"Find anything?" Lyraella asked as Vaelora removed her flying helmet and dismounted Blackfyre.
She had spent all day flying to the nearby towns asking about the war.
"Nothing in particular. Everyone has their own opinion but they don't know the truth." Vaelora sighed and sat down next to Lyraella.
"I don't think anyone knows besides the palace. They must be trying to keep it secret." Vaelora said.
"Well, wouldn't you do the same?" Lyria asked giving Vaelora a piece of bread.
"Of course but it's still annoying." Vaelora bit off a large piece of bread and chewed. There was a long stretch of silence. Blackfyre walked past and headed toward the back of the cave.
The only sound that traveled through the cave was the dragons softly mumbling to each other.
It was almost midnight, everyone was asleep beside them. Lyria finally broke the silence.
"Is there any way to know why this war is happening?" She asked softly.
"Something about a king that died and then his nephew took over or something. I'm not sure." Vaelora finished off her piece of bread.
"But maybe the library knows more..." Lyria said with a small smile like she knew exactly what she was thinking.
"Lyria, you're a genius!" She gave her sister a large hug.
"I know," Lyria said with a bigger smile now. And the sisters said they were together for a bit longer before going to bed.
The next day Vaelora left early. The sun had only just risen and the kids were eating.
"Any idea when you'll be back?" Lyria asked handing her sister some food to put in her bag.
"No, I'm hoping by tomorrow night but who knows how long it'll take me to look through all the books." Vaelora slung her bag over her shoulder climbed onto Blackfyre's claw and stood there.
"Vae...Be safe." Lyraella added.
"You too sis." Vaelora smiled.
The kids came running over. Five stomping pairs of feet echoed through the cave. They all arrived in unison, except for Seraphina who arrived a minute later.
"Be safe Vaelora!" Elira said.
"Come back soon!" Seraphina said quietly.
"Hope you find something good!" Draegar yelled.
"I'll train until you're back!" Zarion stated fiercely.
"Don't worry about us we'll be fine!" Zyraena finally said.
"Thanks, guys. See you soon. Behave and listen to Lyraella okay?" Vaelora said strictly.
"Yes, Vaelora!" All the kids said together.Vaelora smiled and was about to say something but was interrupted by a loud growl bellowing from Blackfyre's chest.
"You better go. He's getting impatient." Lyria said and Vaelora nodded and sat on his back.
"Bye, everyone!" She screamed as Blackfyre lifted his wings and flew away.
