(Who didn't know Ceryse is 10 years older than Maegor.Maegor was 13 years old at the time of marriage, Ceryse is 23 years old.)

Ceryse had no love for Maegor. Before her marriage, she was in love with Lucas Redwyne and dreamed of marrying him. However, her fate was decided by a stupid uncle who offered her to marry a very young prince. How happy her father and mother were at that moment!

- Rejoice, you will become the wife of a prince! - exclaimed her second eldest brother Morgan with joy.

- The second prince, he will not inherit the throne,-  she snorted in response.

- So what? But you will enter the royal family!

- But he is still a boy! I will not get any pleasure! Martin, talk to your father, you are his favorite!

- Sister, you are so ungrateful, - Martin said, looking coldly at her. - Any woman in your place would be squealing with delight right now. This marriage will bring you many advantages, and our family - even more.

 - Brother, I...

- Be glad you are not being married to Frey, as your father had originally planned.

No one in the family cared how she felt. Only the strengthening of power and connections - that was what came first.

"If I were a man, everything would be different," -  she thought.

Maegor was thirteen when she went to bed with him. And he was not a boy in bed at all. In addition to the acquired power, there was another plus - pleasure. He was very good in bed, and she became pregnant quite quickly.

True, she felt nothing for the child that was developing inside her. Even when he was born, she felt neither anger, nor joy - absolutely nothing. With indifference, she took the girl in her arms. To take care of her - it was her duty as a mother.

Although sometimes Ceryse could not help but envy her daughter. To her surprise, everyone was happy about the birth of a girl. Queen Visenya took her in her arms with a smile, and then began to take her to her monster often. Maegor personally came, gave her a name and took her to his chambers. He hardly parted with her for a second. Even Crown Prince Aenys and King Conqueror were happy to see her.

"Why are they so happy? What is so special about her that I am not?" Ceryse asked herself, but she could not find an answer.

Perhaps she will never know.
