𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴- 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 :It's been months since I walked through the gates of the Salvatore School, but it still feels... odd. I guess you never really get used to living in a place where everyone has fangs, magic, or claws. I tug at my jacket, trying to shake off the feeling that today is going to be different, but there's a tension in the air I can't ignore.
I glance around, watching as students rush past me, laughing and chatting, like the world outside this school doesn't exist. But for me? For people like my sister, Hope, and I, the outside world never really disappears. It lingers in the back of our minds, reminding us of the Mikaelson legacy. That weight never goes away. Not fully.
Hope is sitting by the fountain, head bent over a journal. She looks like she's trying to block out everything around her, like usual. That's what we both do—except she buries herself in books and spells, and I... well, I burn things. 𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚.
I walk over to her. "Hey, Sis," I say, nudging her shoulder as I sit beside her.
Hope barely glances up. "Morning."
Typical. Hope's always been the quieter one between us, even though we're twins. I guess that's what happens when you've got the weight of being the tribrid on your shoulders. But being a witch-vampire-fire fairy hybrid? That comes with its own issues too.
"So, what are we doing today?" I ask casually, my fingers unconsciously flicking flames at the edge of my sleeve. It's a habit I've had for as long as I can remember. Fire has always felt natural to me.
"Dr. Saltzman said we have a new student coming in. A human," Hope replies flatly, like the idea is ridiculous.
I raise an eyebrow. "Human? Here? Guess we're going to scare him off before lunch, huh?"
Hope shrugs. "Depends. Maybe he'll surprise us."

𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 :Dr. Alaric Saltzman stands behind his desk, eyeing the new student, Landon, with caution. I lean against the wall next to Hope, my arms crossed as I take in the guy who has somehow found his way into our little supernatural bubble.
"Landon Kirby, right?" I ask, narrowing my eyes. He looks normal, but something feels...off. I can sense it. There's a spark of something strange in the air.
