☆2 years later☆

When I arrive at my fox hole, I eat my lunch.
Rabbit.
My favorite food.

Once I'm done, I decide to go to the lake to have a drink. I disappear from the Burrow and trot to the watering hole. The birds are chirping from every side today and it seems to be a peaceful day in the forest. You can always see some forest dwellers wandering around and also going to the lake, probably to drink.

Once I get to the lake and have a drink, I decide to jump in and have a swim.
Just because I live as a fox doesn't mean I forego hygiene.

After swimming, I shake myself off on land and want to go back to the den until I suddenly notice the smell of blood. Somewhere nearby a person is bleeding... heavily.

My curiosity gets the better of me and so I follow the smell. I walk east and with every few steps the smell gets stronger. Finally I stop at a tree. I sniff the tree and walk around until I see her.

A male corpse is attached to the tree. I take a few steps back to get a closer look at the person. He has blonde hair and some injuries.

There are strangulation marks on his neck, his throat has been cut open and blood is flowing from his head.

The body is still fresh. The body has neither decomposed nor can I smell corpse water.

Just as I want to get closer again to take a closer look at the person or to track down the murderer, I hear several people running in the forest towards the road. According to the voices that keep shouting meaningless sentences, they must be teenagers.

Out of reflex, I run back into the bushes and now observe the situation from further away. After a short while I see several teenagers in sportswear jogging through the forest until the first one stops and looks shocked at the corpse, which was quite obviously attached to the tree.

More and more people notice the corpse and keep whispering about it. Until an adult arrives. A man with black hair and a pipe around his neck. He is slightly smaller than average and has a slight belly.

"There's nothing to see here," the man says, a little desperately, as he pulls out his cell phone and calls someone. Is this a school class?

According to the conversation, the teacher, I assume, calls the police and reports the male body. The students haven't moved an inch and are still staring at the lifeless body. Even though I'm standing relatively far away, I can still smell wolves in the swarm of teenagers. At least 4.

After several minutes of just watching everyone, the police finally arrive. She cordons off the entire area and begins some investigations and interviews.

At least now I realize that it's time for me to leave before anyone else sees me. Even though I have a fox form, I don't have to listen so obviously. I disappear from the bushes and run to my burrow.
