The thunderstorm

Thunder sounded outside the room, the tree branch violently banging against the window. Inside the house the four quads sat all having different ways to deal with the storm.

"Shu! I'm scared!" Valt cried as he held onto Shu tightly, the movie playing in front of them barely blocking out the sounds, "And why are we watching a horror movie during a storm?"

"Because it was Lui's turn to pick," Shu said, "You can't blame me, Free picked on my turn 'cause I was at ogre mountain so when I came back I wasn't able to pick so yeah, my turn," Thunder struck again and Valt flinched holding onto Shu tighter, "It's just a small storm Valt, no one's gonna die," Then with loud bang, the lights went off.

"Ah!"

"We're gonna die!"

"Fuck!"

"Shu!"

"Hold me!"

Luckily, Shu found a torchlight, once he turned it on, it was the most cartoonish scene he had ever seen in his life. Valt had climbed on Free's head as the blond stood confused, Toko and Nika holding onto each other for dear life but once they realised it was each other well, they quickly let go but as for Lui. Shu looked up and on his head, the youngest of the quads was right there, on his head.

"I was just...well...uh...surveying the...area!"

"Yeah, sure now get off," Lui got off Shu as Valt did the same for Free, "Alright, mom and dad are stuck at a hotel and we're trapped in a storm, it's gonna be fine, just don't panic," Thunder sounded again, "Ah!"

Shu clapped his hands, "Okay, so we're home alone and all of you are acting like it is the end of the fucking world so what do we do?"

"You're asking us who are panicking over a storm," Lui said resting on his hand, "Look, I'm improvising here, okay?" Lui rolled his eyes, "Now come on, maybe we could...play truth or dare?"

"Oh yes please," Lui slid down the couch and to the floor, the other 's following suit as they formed a circle, "Great," Shu sat down along side them, "So, who'll go first?"

"Me!" That was Valt, "I'll ask..." He looked around, his eyes darting from one person to another, "Lui."

Thunder struck.

They all jumped, almost as if it was telling him Lui was a bad idea.

"Alright Valt, get it over with," Valt refocused his attention on Lui and shaking the fear out of his body he regained his composure, "Alright, Truth or Dare?"

"Dare," Thunder struck again, "Okay...um...I dare you to...call your crush."

"That's it?" Valt nodded, "That's easy," Lui picked up his phone and dialed the number, it rung for several seconds, "Oh and put it on speaker," Valt added, Lui made an okay sign and put it on speaker. Gabe answering once he did, "Hello? Lui? Why are you calling me?" Lui took a deep breath as he began, "I.......wanted to hear your voice?" Lui became high pitched, the others smiling at his nervousness, "Alright, I know what this is. Truth or Dare," Lui sighed, "How did you-" Gabe cut Valt off, "Lui would never call for no reason, more ever his calls only ever last a few minutes and you're straight forward without dawdling so due to the lack of topic I finally assumed, dare," Everyone's mouths fell open at the sudden analysis, "Anyway, enjoy your time and...be careful, I heard a hurricane is coming," Thunder struck, now they knew why it seemed like a bad idea to call him.

"Valt, come out, nothing bad's gonna happen."

"No! I don't believe you!" Valt had ran underneath the bed now hiding underneath, "Hurricanes are normal and the house is strong, trust me, we'll be fine."

"Tell that to Lui," As yes, Lui on the other hand has hid in the closet, "Both of you! Come out!"

"I am the smallest person in this house, a Hurricane comes and I'm up, no one can tell me otherwise," Shu sighed, "None of you are gonna die," Thunder struck and soon, the rain was beating harder than ever. The sudden sound made Valt jump out from right underneath the bed and into Shu's arms. The albino sighed, all their attention turning to the youngest of them who still hid in the closest. He kicked the door open scampering out to join the group as they huddled together. Soon, the twins had run up as well huddling together into the warm embrace. The thunder this time was louder than before, the sound making them unable to hear their own thinking. Soon, Valt began to hum trying to calm himself down, it was s lullaby, an old one their mother sung to all of them. It was called mix it in a pan (made this up) and soon, all the siblings began to hum long and before long, they all began to sing.

"Mix it in a pan, mix it a pan," Valt began, "Making sure it doesn't go splat, splat, splat," Toko added, "Stir it slow so you can mix in the dough," Nika said as she leaned in, "But not to fast unless..."

"Oh no!" They all chorused.

"Take your time, no one gets hurt," Shu added, "Seriously, this is s dumb flirt," Lui just cut in, "Stir it like amazing pro," Free added, with all of them finally chorousing, "Then we have the perfect dough!" They all laughed, the sound from the storm seemed to have softened a little, "Well that was relaxing," Said Lui, "I never knew singing such a dumb song could help so much."

"Dumb? If I remember correctly you always slept first whenever mom sung it," Lui smiled, "That's mom, nor us," The sun seemed to be coming out, "Seem that song brought the sun out," Free said as he looked out the window, "Yeah..." Shu smiled, "Yay!" Valt exclamed, "That means their puddles to play in."

"Seriously Valt we're...you know what? Fuck it," Lui stood grabbing his coat as he ran back down the stairs, "Last one down is a rotten egg!" Lui shouted, Shu and Free immediately got up grabbing their own coats, "Hey! Get back here!" Toko and Nika following after. And well, they splashed in the puddles.
