this is witteraly my first fanfic what the frick

Just a quick little explanation on the lore I have set up for this project, as it wouldn't necessarily make sense without any. This is probably the most backstory hat you will see, although the background doesn't play a huge part in anything aside from like, chapter one. 😿

"Y/N" turned radiant due to blood contamination, after being mistaken as a deer whilst on a hike. A radivore, disguised as one of the deer from the local population approached, licking their wound in a substantial act of humanity. Causing their blood to react with the reminse of the radianite that the creature consumes; saving their life, however, forever a radiant.

and no it probably doesn't make sense and i absolutely do not care this is valorant and riot cannot write lore for SHITE. 👽👽

I chose a deer mainly off of the new sova card that dropped (finally what the hell) and i also think that animal themed radiants/agents are just, so darn cute...

Everything else about the reader in this story is entirely up to your imagination and perception, the most i mention when it comes to physical appearance is clothing and your ears (deer ears ❤️)

I will probably upload in intervals of two chapters, but the time varies (i'm a student 💔) so no promises.

✎ First Light Dating System

A custom dating system is often used using First Light as a reference point:

• BFL refers to the years Before First Light.

    • Further back beyond First Light into our known pre-21st century history, Gregorian dates may be used instead.
•AFL refers to the years After First Light.
• 0 YFL, or 0 FL, refers to The Year of First Light, the year that First Light occurred in.

✎ First Light

Most of VALORANT's story stems from a point in time in the near future named First Light. Although substantial information has been given about the repercussions of First Light, it is not known exactly what it was or why it occurred. Described as a 'supercharged radianite event', First Light radically altered the Mirrorverse, causing the worlds to change forever.

The most prevalent detail about First Light is that it likely acted as a global electromagnetic pulse (EMP) that wiped out power across the globe. This EMP lasted multiple hours before power was restored to the world, and the event is described as a 'climate-based tipping point'.
It has also been revealed that there were experiments being conducted on newly discovered radianite during First Light, which may have played a part in causing it to occur in the first place.

This radianite is the first to be discovered and experimented on in at least a century, if not more. The direct cause of First Light is unknown. As the details of what occurred during the events of First Light are ambiguous, the cause of First Light cannot be derived. However, certain causes can be speculated from various texts that have been released on First Light through the years.
