"It is time", the man who birthed me said and I knew what exactly he was talking about .

And yes not everyone deserves to be called a dad

I looked at him devoid of any emotions , "You do not have to worry much Eloise, nothing changes , you have seen me and your mother",I did not feel nothing but pure disgust for this man in front of me

Their wedding was a shit show and he wants me to follow his footsteps.

He gave me a file , "Their grandfather gave me these and they want you to sign it as well as submit it yourself",he said and I nodded.

I grabbed those and entered back to my cubicle ,I let out a deep breath before I began opening it and nobody could have prepared me for what I saw next .

THE MARRIAGE CONTRACT

I, Eloise Winter, agree that this marriage contract is more than just a list of rules; it's a heartfelt promise I vow to uphold every day. I understand that failure to do so will result in my company being passed to whoever is chosen next by Mr. George Carter

Chapter 3: Fun and Play

Game Night
Every Wednesday, we'll have a dedicated game night, whether board games or video games, with snacks and laughter.

Movie Marathon
Once a month, we'll have a themed movie marathon complete with popcorn and our favorite cozy blankets.

Puzzle Time
We'll work on a puzzle together each month, taking breaks to share stories and snacks, each party must share three stories minimum of their self

Dance Party
Whenever a song plays, we'll drop everything for a spontaneous dance party, no matter where we are.

Adventure Jar
We'll create an adventure jar filled with date ideas, drawing one every month for a surprise outing , together .

Chapter 4: Acts of Kindness

Breakfast in Bed
Once a month, we'll surprise each other with breakfast in bed as a special treat.

Kindness Challenge
Both parties must challenge each other to perform one random act of kindness each week.

Care Packages
Both parties must create care packages for each other every month , and also during stressful times to show support.

Shared Chores
Both parties must divide chores equally and never hide a maid , taking turns and surprising each other by completing tasks unexpectedly.

Monthly Goals
We'll set personal and joint goals each month and celebrate achieving them together.

My eyes widened at what I read just now , they must have given me a romance novel book instead of contract , this could be a honest mistake , I mean the person must have been reading something and might have printed the wrong copies , but it stated my name

I did not hesitate to call George sir , which he answered after four rings

"Sir , I think some one has printed a romance novel instead of The Marriage Contract" I said before I let him speak

I heard someone chuckle on the other side before they responded " Hello to you too ", that's definitely not George sir answered me.

"I will let him know you called " ,the person answered

"Yes thank you ",I thanked him before I ended the call .

No matter what I do I cannot escape this marriage contract no matter how crazy all these rules seem , because George Carter owns most of our company share , he helped my father when the company was drowning in debt .If marrying whoever it is gets me my company back , I will do it .I'll taker one for our company.

I signed the documents because that was what my father said so, if the documents are mishap , I will sign the new ones when I meet him.

I grabbed my bag informing the receptionist to change all my meetings to tomorrow before I exited the office building.

My driver was waiting outside , and I asked him to take me to the hospital Mr.George was in , which he did .

As a girl who loved horror books all her life , I never had a thing for romance novel, looking at all these rules is scaring me no matter how much of a brave front I put.

They say what you do not want the most to happen , ends up happening , I never believed in true love or anything like that , a special thanks to my parents who set such example for me , and to be honest I believe it is reality in most of the people's life and not what the series show to us or the movies.

My driver informed me that we had reached our destination , I got down and went inside the hospital building , I stepped into the elevator and put on the floor number I was informed of, there was a tall well built man standing a few steps beside me , his body screams ' Fitness is my passion' and then suddenly something clicked

"Sir hold this ", I asked the man next to me handing him my phone , he looked at me surprised and noticed the file on my hand .

He held the phone and I gestured him how to hold it , which he did

I switched the camera open and brushed my hair with my hand and made my suit straight , pressing it from below my neck to the bottom of it .

I look presentable , I nodded satisfied at how I looked , when I was about to grab my phone I saw the man looking at me stunned.

"Thank you",I said before I snatched the phone myself and the elevator opened , I walked out , finding out that the room was on the opposite side of the hall ,

I knocked twice and went inside when he called out " come in"

"Good afternoon Sir", I Greeted him and saw him struggling to wear his jacket , which I helped him to wear from behind him

"Eloise",he chuckled

"My little girl", he said smiling , to which he smiled back

He sat down and asked me to sit which I did .

" About the contract , I think some one must have made an honest mistake , they look " I took a pause before I said " a bit weird" I stated and he started to chuckle

"But as you have requested , I have signed" I told him

"Thank You Eloise"he said as he took the file I gave him

" Who am I going to be married to ?" I asked but then does that matter "Actually do not answer it Mr.George , I would not question you even if you asked me to marry a pig"I said and he began laughing until tears were filled in his eyes.

" Oh my God" he said before he continued to laugh .

George was one of the person I knew from very early on in my life, he attended my graduation just because once I said I wish I knew what it would be like to have a grandfather since mine were dead.

George Carter was the closest to grandfather I had despite the business , he always treated me like a grand daughter.
