Continuing from the previous chapter, the Traveler and Asmoday finally arrived at Varana, the enchanting village of the tree people, where vibrant foliage danced in the gentle breeze and the sweet scent of blooming flowers filled the air. The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden hue over the quaint homes nestled among the trees, each adorned with colorful decorations that celebrated life and harmony.

It had been a year since Bardock last set foot in this beloved village, and the emotions swelled within him as memories washed over him like a tidal wave. As he approached, a smile crept across his face, warming his heart despite the lingering shadows of his past that threatened to consume him. Even though he has a little to no trust on everybody, Sero was the place that welcomed him with open arms, and yet he kept a wall for himself but he's here now, at least, was a place where he felt valued, a sanctuary amidst the turmoil of his recent experiences.

"It still looks as breathtakingly beautiful as ever," Bardock murmured, his voice laced with nostalgia. "I don't want to dwell on what I did earlier; I just want to embrace this moment. Thank you, my dear Asmoday, for reversing time" He glanced at her, his gaze softening with gratitude and affection.

Asmoday returned his gaze, her eyes shimmering with warmth and mischief. "It nothing truly and it has been far too long since we visited Varana. Heck! I can already imagine the stories our friends in Sumeru City must have shared in our absence! Do you remember that unforgettable dance festival we attended together? I can still hear the music echoing in my mind!"

Bardock chuckled, the sound rich with fondness. "How could I ever forget? You nearly stole the entire show with your graceful twirls and infectious laughter. I can still picture the villagers' faces lighting up as you danced, like the sun breaking through the clouds. You flying around like a fairy but you danced like a firefly, you brought such joy to everyone around you."

As they set aside their heavy thoughts for the moment, the cheerful Aranaras began to notice their approach, their expressions lighting up with surprise and excitement. They waved their hands enthusiastically, their joyful gestures and enthusiastic movements creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

"Everyone! Nara Aether is back, and he's brought a friend!" one of the Aranaras announced, his voice ringing like a cheerful bell that beckoned the villagers. It didn't take long for the rest of the village to gather around, their eyes wide with excitement, but they couldn't help but notice Aether's new appearance, which sparked whispers among them.

"We are so overjoyed that you're back, Nara Aether! And look at you! You've changed and grown so much!" one enthusiastic Aranara exclaimed, clapping their hands with delight, their excitement palpable in the air.

Bardock's heart swelled with gratitude as he replied, "I'm truly happy to see all of you." He smiled lightly, trying to mask the complex emotions bubbling beneath the surface. As some of the Aranaras eyed Asmoday curiously, she couldn't contain her laughter, the sound bright and melodic.

One curious Aranara stepped forward, their eyes sparkling with intrigue. "Who is she? A friend of yours? She looks so familiar!" they asked, tilting their head to get a better look at Asmoday.

"Oh, I nearly forgot to introduce her properly! She's actually Paimon, the one and only. Everyone, this is her true form," Bardock declared, gesturing to Asmoday with a flourish, his voice filled with pride and affection.

The Aranaras paused for a moment, recognition dawning in their eyes as they took in her familiar face and distinctive attire. Suddenly, they erupted into cheers, swarming around her with joy as if she were a long-lost sister returned from a grand adventure.
