Abhimanyu stormed into the Birla mansion, his face a storm of frustration and anger. The moment he entered the living room, Akshara, who had been waiting anxiously for him, immediately sensed something was wrong. She stood up from the couch, her concern deepening as she saw the fury in his eyes.
"Abhi, what happened? Did something go wrong at the meeting?" Akshara asked, her voice laced with worry.
Abhimanyu didn't answer immediately. He walked over to the nearest wall and slammed his fist against it, the loud thud echoing through the room. Akshara flinched at the sound, but she remained rooted in place, waiting for him to speak.
Finally, Abhimanyu turned to face her, his eyes blazing with anger. "It's Aarohi," he spat out, his voice tight with barely controlled rage. "She's gone too far this time, Akshu. She actually had the nerve to suspend my medical license for a year!"
Akshara's eyes widened in shock. "What? How could she... Abhi, there has to be some mistake."
"There's no mistake!" Abhimanyu snapped, pacing back and forth as he tried to calm himself. "She and that Rishi Malhotra sat there, smug and self-righteous, and handed down the suspension like it was nothing. Like my entire career didn't matter to them!"
Akshara walked over to him, placing a hand on his arm in an attempt to soothe him. "Abhi, calm down. There must be a reason why they did this. Maybe it's not as bad as it seems. You're an amazing doctor—"
"It doesn't matter how good of a doctor I am if I'm not allowed to practice!" Abhimanyu interrupted, his voice rising. "This isn't just about my career, Akshu. This is about Aarohi using her power to humiliate me. She's always had it out for me, and now she's finally got what she wanted."
Akshara frowned, her own anger starting to simmer beneath the surface. "I can't believe she would do something like this. We've been through so much as a family... how could she just...?"
"She doesn't care about family," Abhimanyu said bitterly. "She cares about her power, her position. She wants to show everyone that she's better than me, better than us. And now she's done it."
Akshara bit her lip, a mix of emotions swirling inside her. She had always known that there was tension between Aarohi and Abhimanyu, but she had never imagined it would come to this. The thought of Aarohi deliberately sabotaging Abhimanyu's career was almost too much to bear.
"Abhi, maybe we should talk to her, try to understand why she did this," Akshara suggested, trying to find a solution. "There has to be more to this than just—"
"No, Akshu," Abhimanyu cut her off, shaking his head. "I'm done talking. I've tried reasoning with her before, but she's made it clear that she doesn't care. She's not going to listen to us, and honestly, I don't want to hear anything she has to say. She's crossed a line, and there's no coming back from this."
Akshara felt a pang of helplessness as she looked at her husband, seeing how deeply this had affected him. She knew how much his work meant to him, how much he had sacrificed to get to where he was. The thought of him being unable to practice medicine for an entire year was devastating.
"But what are we going to do?" Akshara asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "We can't just let this happen, Abhi..."
Abhimanyu's expression hardened, his anger giving way to a cold determination. "We fight back," he said, his voice low and resolute. "We find a way to get my license back. And we make sure Aarohi understands that she can't mess with us and get away with it."
Akshara nodded slowly, her own resolve strengthening in the face of his determination. "We'll get through this, Abhi. Together."
As they stood there, united in their anger and resolve, both of them knew that this was only the beginning of a battle that would test the very limits of their patience and strength. But they were ready to face whatever came next, determined to protect what was theirs, no matter the cost.
