Rein looks at me with a funny face while giggling like a stupid gremlin.

"You aren't funny! Get me down!"

I am NOT going to explain on how I got stuck to an iron hook, nailed into a seemingly impossible and shouldn't be able to be nailed in the first place.

"Hey, I wasn't the one who decided to spit balls at someone." Rein hissed at me like a cat because of what I did. Okay, maybe shooting paper balls at him while he was 'mediating' wasn't a good idea.

By mediating, he was breaking pipes and metal bars like butter, while I think that we should NOT be destroying the landscape we are walking on. Who knows, maybe we will get sucked ihti a blackhole summoned by random glitches caused from our stupidity.

Iron hook snaps as I suddenly crash landed onto the ground, the shock of the impact take me a few moments and I let out a pained noise. Rein quickly picks me up and dust me off. Aside from a red face, I was surprisingly fine. "Well, that's a nice detour."

His shades were off, I can finally see clearly his face...Wait.

"What happened to your left eye-"

"What a subtle way to ask, my guy."

I had to slap myself for asking so bluntly. What a way to be an insensitive b--

Rein giggled at my face, probably because my jaw dropped. I am going to lose it if this continues-

"Okay okay, for reals, we are already here."

Rein spoke quietly as he pushed past a few fallen debris, revealing a heavy metal door. Unlike the surroundings, the door is still standing strong. There were a few dents from whatever that came out of it, but the feeling crawls on my back. Whatever they were keeping here, they definitely didn't want it out.

I felt Rein circle his hand slowly onto my hand. Holding onto me at first, but the way he squeezed tight as if afraid of letting go, I held him in place. We both take a deep breathe.

"We are so screwed."

...

...

...

"You know, I'm surprised you made it this far."

"No thanks to you. First, my mother and now me."

"You should be grateful for your gift. The ability to bend everything to your feet, I did so many tests on you and finally I achieved it."

"For what really? For power?"

"Perhaps? My memory has faded so much due to my age. So please forgive me."

"You will never be forgiven."

"Oh Rein, you always know how to ruin lives."

"It makes me glad that you came here of your accord."

"You make your mother proud."

...

...

...

"My butt hurts."

"Seriously?"

I can't help but make a comment while I check my butt. So, I may have landed quite hard on the ground while descending from a broken flight of stairs.

Rein simply walk carefully, curse his night vision...or so he says.

"Told you to hold onto me, but you wanted to be independent."

"Shut up you aren't my mom!"

We argued with petty fights that are like siblings fighting for the very last cookie. It felt nice, really. I mean, it kinda distracts me from those rotten smells of chemicals in those exhausted pipes.
