I opened my eyes as I heard a loud noise. What I could see was a dark room with a single tube light that was flickering. I felt a heavy pain in my head. I didn't even know if it was bleeding or not. I tried to stand up, but I realized that my hands were tightly bound with a strong rope.

"Uth gayi aap?" (Translation - You are awake?) a strong, masculine voice whispered in my right ear.

My whole body shivered at his voice. I jerked my head to see him. He had bent over my right ear. He stood straight and walked in front of me.

"Kon ho tum?" (Translation - Who are you?) I asked him in an authoritative tone.

"Naa hum apko jaante hai, naa aap... Toh behtar hoga ki aap shaant rahiye," (Translation - Neither you know me, nor I... It's better for you to stay silent) he replied while taking out a knife from a small box.

Is that knife meant to kill me? What is going on? Why did he kidnap me like this?

"Agar tum mujhe nahi jaante, toh kidnap kyun kiya?" (Translation - If you don't know me, then why did you kidnap me?) I yelled really loudly.

"Mrs. Malhotra... Aap jitna bhi chilla lo, yahan aapko koi nahi sun sakta," (Translation - Mrs. Malhotra... No matter how loud you scream, no one can hear you here) he replied while putting the knife back inside the box.

"Huh? Tell me who told you to do this," I asked him once again.

"Just someone you know... Maybe..." he replied.

Maybe? Is it... Is it Anayika?

"Once my husband gets to know that I'm here, you won't be able to even speak with that mouth of yours," I replied, being calm and gentle, knowing that this might annoy him.

"Your husband? And who'll tell him? You?" he said, throwing a phone on the ground in front of me.

He knew that I couldn't get that phone while I was tied up with these ropes in the chair. I took a long breath and said, "Do me a favor. Call him for me."

He came closer to me and tugged my hair. He looked straight into my eyes and asked me, "Tumhe dar nahi lagta kyaa?" (Translation - Are you not afraid?)

"Kutto se sherniyan nahi darti," (Translation - I am not afraid of dogs) I replied.

His phone rang suddenly. He let go of my hair and picked up his call.
