The forest was still and somber, the usual rustle of leaves and distant calls of wildlife replaced by a heavy silence. Jimin stood at the edge of the clearing, his heart pounding in his chest as he replayed the events of the night in his mind. Yoongi was gone, captured by the rival pack, and the weight of that reality settled like a stone in his gut. But he refused to let despair consume him.
With a fierce determination igniting within him, Jimin turned and made his way back to the den. He needed his pack by his side. They needed to act quickly.
As he entered the den, he found Taehyung sitting by the fire, his expression thoughtful. Hoseok was nearby, tending to a few injured wolves, while Namjoon and Jin discussed their next steps in hushed tones. Jungkook stood by the entrance, his stance tense, eyes scanning the trees as if expecting danger to emerge at any moment.
"Jimin!" Taehyung exclaimed, rising to meet him. "You're back. We were worried."
"We can't wait any longer," Jimin insisted, his voice steady despite the turmoil inside him. "We need to plan a rescue. Yoongi needs us."
Taehyung nodded, his brows furrowing. "But how? The enemy pack is dangerous, and they're likely on high alert after the attack."
"Then we need to be smarter," Jin interjected, his tone calm but firm. "We should gather information first. We can't charge in blindly."
The pack's attention snapped to him, their expressions shifting from concern to resolve.
"What's the plan?" Namjoon asked, stepping forward, his leader instincts kicking in.
Jimin took a deep breath, steeling himself. "We need to get him back. I won't leave him with them. We can't let them win."
Hoseok nodded, determination glimmering in his eyes. "We're with you, Jimin. Whatever it takes."
Jimin glanced at Jungkook, who was still on high alert. "What do you think? You know their territory better than anyone."
Jungkook nodded, his jaw set in determination. "I've seen their patrols. They're arrogant and underestimate us. If we're careful, we can slip in unnoticed."
Taehyung stepped forward, a fierce glint in his eye. "And we can create a distraction. They'll be so focused on the front lines that we can sneak in through the back."
Jimin felt a spark of hope. "Exactly. We can divide into two teams. One will create a diversion while the other rescues Yoongi. We have to keep it quick and stealthy."
"Count me in for the diversion," Hoseok said, cracking his knuckles with a grin. "I'll make sure they're busy."
Jin chuckled lightly. "I'll be right behind you, ready to back you up."
With their roles beginning to take shape, Jimin's heart swelled with gratitude. "Thank you, all of you. We'll do this together. Yoongi would do the same for any of us."
