Jimin's POV
The sun dipped low in the sky, casting a warm glow over the backyard where Yoongi and I had set up a cozy gathering for our families. The smell of grilled food wafted through the air, mixing with the fresh scent of grass. It felt perfect—a serene moment before what would surely be a life-changing conversation.
As my parents arrived, my heart raced with a mix of excitement and nerves. I wanted them to understand our love and our plans for the future. When my mother pulled me into a warm hug, I felt a wave of relief. She always had a way of calming my fears.
"I'm so glad you called us together, Jimin. It's been too long since we all sat down like this," she said, her smile brightening my spirits.
"Yeah, I've missed everyone," I replied, glancing at Yoongi. He was standing nearby, his presence grounding me as I prepared to share our news.
Once everyone was settled, the chatter faded as I glanced around at the familiar faces of my family and friends. I took a deep breath, gathering my courage. "Um, everyone," I began, feeling the warmth of Yoongi's hand resting on my shoulder. "We have something we want to share."
As I spoke, I felt the weight of the moment. "Yoongi and I have been talking a lot lately, and we've decided that we want to get married."
A moment of silence hung in the air, and then my mother gasped, her eyes shining with joy. "Oh, that's wonderful! I've been waiting for this moment!" she exclaimed, her happiness palpable...
Jin, sitting nearby with a proud smile, chimed in. "It's about time you two made it official. I'm really happy for you both!"
Jungkook, who was leaning against the patio railing, grinned widely. "You guys are like the perfect couple! I can't wait to see the wedding."
Taehyung jumped in, his excitement palpable. "We should plan an epic celebration! You know, with lots of food, music, and dancing!"
"Count me in for the planning," Hoseok added with a wink, his enthusiasm infectious. "We'll make it the best wedding ever!"
Jimin's father looked thoughtful, a proud smile creeping onto his face. "Have you discussed how you want to approach the wedding?" he asked, genuine curiosity shining in his eyes.
Jimin beamed as he responded, "We want it to be a celebration of our love, surrounded by our family and friends. Something intimate but meaningful."
The conversation flowed easily as our families began discussing ideas for the wedding, laughter and excitement filling the air. I felt a sense of belonging wash over me, and I knew we were on the right path.
Yoongi's POV
As the evening progressed, I watched Jimin light up with each new idea shared by our families. The joy radiating from him was infectious, and it filled me with hope. His enthusiasm reminded me of all the dreams we had built together, and I couldn't help but smile.
