Night Terrors

Jordyn's POV:

As I was walking back from Pop's, I still tried to wrap around what Jughead had told me, Penny had done alot of things but bringing back a teen's troubled past, she had gone too far, we wanted to do something but we couldn't. I walked back into the house and went upstairs to my room to still find Jughead sitting on my bed holding his beanie in hand while looking down. 'Hey.' I quietly said. 'Hey.' he replied still looking down. 'You okay?' I asked with concern. 'Not really, I just think that what this family was before we became who we are now, I just know it'll happen again.' Jug said his voice almost breaking.

'It's not real, it's Penny trying to make you become weak and vulnerable so she can get what she wants, revenge. I told him as I held his hand which was sitting on the bed, he seemed more at ease and comfortable. I turned around, opened the Pop's takeout bag and handed Jughead his food.
'JB!' I yelled and she came in the room. 'Yeah, what's up?' She questions. 'I got some Pop's, do you wanna eat with us?' I asked 'Yeah sure, Jughead how are you doing?' Jellybean looks at Jughead.

'Yeah, just worried about Peabody.' He replied now looking up at JB. Jellybean then sat on the other side of Jughead and held his other hand. 'Let's just forget about her for now and just eat together, like normal, okay?' I asked him, Jellybean nodded in agreement. 'OK, fine.' Jughead reluctantly backed down then gave a small smile to both of us. Me and JB then grabbed a burger each, Jughead takes his one and we all start eating, chatting and laughing. This is the fist time I've seen Jughead smile and just being optimistic in general in the incident with Penny Peabody.

At Night...

We just finished watching a movie, more or less forgetting about Penny for the past few hours, still chatting and laughing like we were in my room. 'That movie was amazing.' I told my siblings. 'I know, the mystery, the drama and the plot twist at the end, absolutely crazy.' Jughead replied. JB looked at her phone, noticing the time. 'Guys, that movie was pretty long. It's almost midnight.' She said still looking at her phone. I guess I was pretty tired. 'Let's go sleep then, it is late after all.' Jughead rubbed his eyes, he hadn't gotten alot of sleep because of the trauma return and he's been having night terrors every other night, luckily they haven't been bad. I just hope he doesn't have another one. 'Well good night then guys.' JB says to us. 'Good night.' Me and Jughead replied as we walked to our beds and went to sleep, we were all thinking everything would be normal. Oh... how wrong I was...

Jughead's POV:

I quickly ducked my head just in time before my dad's beer bottle smashed on the wall behind me. Dad suddenly grabbed my throat with both hands and began to choke me. 'WHY DID YOU COME INTO THIS WORLD, YOU DON'T BELONG HERE, YOU RUINED THIS FAMILY LIKE ALWAYS!' Dad yelled then let go of my throat, I quickly ran to the bathroom, locked the door and just stood there and tears fell down. With no emotion, I grabbed a small pocket knife and put it next to my arm, the words from my dad running through my head 'You don't belong here.' One cut.
'You ruined this family.' Two cuts. 'Why did you come into this world.' Three cuts. I put the knife back into my pocket and went to my room, hopefully to be greeted by my siblings, but when I entered the room, the result was not what I expected.

I walked into the room and saw JD and Jellybean both holding knifes and creepily grinning at me. 'Guys, what's going on?' I asked as I slowly started to back away. 'You... you're the issue right now Jug.' My twin responses, twisting the knife. 'W-what do you mean?' I ask, my expression turned into fear. 'Maybe dad's right, JD, he doesn't belong here, and he's ruined the family name.' Jellybean looks at Jordyn. 'So we kill him them?' Jordyn questions JB. 'Yeah, no one will care that he's gone anyway, he's already been doing self harm, so why not.' JB replies and they both look back at me and start walking towards me.

I quickly opened the bedroom door and ran out the door. Why were my sisters trying to kill me? Suddenly Archie, Betty and Veronica entered my house through the front door all holding different weapons in hand. 'Kill him!' Archie yelled. I started running until I reached a dead end, I turn around to see my dad, Jordyn, Jellybean, Archie, Betty and Veronica stand over me all giving me demon like smiles still holding their weapons above them. 'What do you want from me, why do you want to kill me?' I asked, while shaking. 'You're not wanted. Archie starts. ' You can't do anything right.' Betty adds on. The others began to say more or less the same thing but I kept hearing a loud ringing in my ears, like I couldn't hear them. In the corner of my eye, I see a visual of Penny Peabody and another woman behind her, I couldn't see her face but they were both smiling at me. I then look back towards the group. 'Your suffering is over.' My dad said then he stabbed me in the stomach.

I shot up from my bed covered in cold sweat. 'It was all a dream?' I thought to myself as I got up, ran to the bathroom, and sunk down the door. My small knife fell out of my pocket, I grabbed it and just stared at it for a few moments and just like in the dream, with no emotion, started cutting my arm, I didn't even need to think of my father's words from the dream, I just did it with no thought in mind. I then swapped to my other arm then my legs.

I quickly left the bathroom and entered the kitchen, grabbed a glass cup, turned on the tap and filled the cup up with water and drank it. I placed the cup on the side of the sink and put my scar covered arms on the counter top, breathing heavily. 'What's going on with me?' I quietly started. 'Why are these things happening to me?' I mumbled. These thoughts were so loud in the head I didn't hear the door open.  My thoughts broke when I heard a familiar voice.

'Hiya Jug' I heard her say. I turned around to face the woman who started all of this... Penny Peabody, along with Malachai, Kurtz and the same woman who was behind her in my dream, she was wearing a hood over her head. 'What are you doing here?' I asked with an angry expression. Penny smirked 'Like the gift I gave you? You know your old memories and your dreams?' I was shocked. 'How do you... know?' I asked her. The woman from behind her came up front. 'This woman had a vital part of the plan, she studied dark magic that can harm psychologically.' I was confused. 'She knows alot about you Jug.' She added on. I looked at the hooded woman and she removed the mask, I stumbled back when I saw her.

'Mom?!' I couldn't believe it was my own mother that had planned this. 'W-Why would you do this to me!' I yelled. She looked pissed and walked towards me and I backed away. 'Why else do you think I left all those years ago? You kids are a disgrace, and you were the worst of the bunch.' She replied. Suddenly both Kurtz and Malachai grabbed me and held me back, which didn't last very long. I made Kurtz release my left arm and I punched him straight in the face then kicked Malachai making him fall back. Without warning, Penny punched me in the gut making my back hit the wall, then she held a knife to my neck. 'You're coming with us Jones.' Without a reaction, my mother gave me a blow to the head, my vision turned impaired and yet again into darkness...

A/N: Apologies for the wait on this chapter, I struggled due to writer's block but here it is. Questions: What will Penny do to Jughead? Did anyone expect for it to be his own mother? To be honest i felt bad for Jug whilst writing this. Hope you enjoy.
